@tdmaurer1 yes, the mag tube is 12+1 on mine and a 28 inch barrel. 9+1 and 24 inch barrel on the JM pro. Im trying to compete in 3 gun and this bad boy is just a little too long.
i thought is said but it honestly doesn't matter as far as diameter. you need something smaler than the id of the spring but thick enough it doesn't flex or potentially splinter rattling around in there.
on my other shotguns that have longer tubes and i am a big fan of the Carlsons tubes, i use the clamp that comes with those. i think Carlson just sells those alone and they do have a sling stud. i am all but 100% that so long as it is a mossberg clamp it will be fine, thinking the measurments are close enough on all models it doesn't matter much. i would measure but i don't have this one anymore, it has to go back to mossberg after playing around with it for a few months, which broke my heart becuase i loved it. sometimes as creators we get attached and this was one of those times. 🤣😂
no matter the shotgun, no matter how many round you restrict to with a plug, the plug will always move around a bit, yeah. if your plug is sized for say 2 rounds, once the tube only has 1, the plug rattles anyway, feel me?
should add, just FYI here, there are newer model shotguns that have plugs which attach at the tube cap, therefore not allowing them to rattle or move nearly as much. that said, for literally decades, hunters have almost univerally used #2 pencils as plugs (of course the older shotguns don't have really longer tubes either)
If you can afford that gun…. You got a lighter gun for anything none snow goose most of the time. This is a special pice. Might be e good for combat. Pistol grip and a chainsaw handle and this be a nice street sweeper!
according to my conversations with multiple game warden offices across the country before making this video... nope you cannot... dummy rounds would fill the space to capacity and the capacity must be restricted.
Snow geese is waterfowl so why wouldn't it only hold three rounds anyway?
you should go read the regulations for snow geese or maybe more specifically "light geese conservation season"
Snow goose as no limit to how many rds you can have in your shotgun well duck hunting has 2+1 in chamber
Game + Sport = Rules . A sports man respects the rules.
Excellent video! After you shot the first 3 shell's you could've had someone just throw in 3 decoy's or toy duck's. Enjoyed the podcast tonight!
Thank you so much!!! I just won a 940 JM Pro and don’t shoot competitively. Was hoping there was a way to use t for ducks and geese.
Still have it, cause i won the snow goose 12+1 and looking to trade
@@Dr.Watley aren’t they about the same gun?

Where are you located?
St. Louis MO
On smaller guns I use chop sticks. I’ve also been in the field and use small branch off a tree peeled and cleaned up. 👍
The miculec is on my to buy list this year
Great video CloverTac
Great video. Curious if you remember what diameter that dowel was? Looked like maybe 3/8?

What brand magazine clamp is that i need to get one for mine and cant sellte on one that actually says "for 940" ??

@@CloverTac oh ok, I would like to put one on mine, not that its goin anywhere, be better piece of mind though, and sling mount

@@CloverTac oh yeah buddy I love mine, theyere definitely sweet shooters
Does the plug not bounce around inside not being a perfectly sized peice?

Do you have to plug if you are hunting on privately land?
per information from Texas Parks & Wildlife, yes you do
On private land you have to usually buy a license and do all the stuff required for public land. Check your state and local laws.

Can’t you just add dummy rounds ?
