Yeah, I'm Polish, and I have to tell you, I hear all those people from abroad talking about different cities in Poland: Kraków, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Sopot, Malbork... but what I personally enjoy the most in my country are not cities, but nature.
    1. About 30% of Poland is covered by forests. There are plenty of small towns where you can spend the night in, and in the morning go outside the city to enjoy one of many different walking trails
    2. Mountains: Tatra's are only one of many different mountain ranges in Poland. Practically all of the southern border is covered in mountains.
    3. Lakes
    4. Rivers: you can take part in a organised kayak trips. Some of them are shorter like 1 day, and some of them are longer and last few days
    5. If you like cycling and you have a gravel bike or mtb, there are a lot of cycling trails. Even on road bikes there are plenty of places you can go to without encountering a big traffic

And also The Jasna Góra Monastery in Częstochowa is a place to visit - it is an old place, which has been very important for Polish people for centuries up till now. Jan Zamojski built the ideal Renaissance city of Zamość.
Kazimierz Dolny is a charming town with the spirit of old Poland.
The village of Zalipie is an extremely colorful village.
The primeval European forest is the Białowieża Forest. The bison live here.
Lower Silesia is a land of many castles with an interesting history and the mysterious mountains of the Sudety Mountains.
Wielkopolska is a region that is the cradle of Polishness.
Toruń is the city of Copernicus and gingerbread. It is a beautiful medieval city.
There are many places worth visiting.

If someone is visiting Kraków i highly recommend to check out Wieliczka salt mine, it's really close to Kraków and it's very unique, people were extracting salt from there for at least 5000 years and it was a working salt mine until 1996. Now it's a musem with many cool chambers and sculptures made of salt by the miners, the main attraction is the Saint Kinga's Chapel, it's 54 by 18 meters chapel with height of 12 meters and it's carved in one solid block of salt, everything there, walls, floor tiles, reliefs, sculptures and even chandeliers are made of salt. And it's over 100 meters below the surface ;p

There are some places which are not mentioned but they are unique. Bieszczady mountains - not very high but picturesque, the medieval ruins trail called Szlak Orlich Gniazd (The Trail of Eagles' Nests), medieval Toruń city, Saltmines in Wieliczka or Bochnia with Underground chambers and chapels, to mention the most known. There are some beautiful churchs or little museums, but I suppose, Poland is not going to impress anybody with that. The interesting place is for example Amber Museum in Gdańs - where Sir Hammond from "Jurrasic Park" would get crazy with all the insects drowned in amber ;) There is also the Pszczyna Palace known for the story of the unhappy Daisy von Pless or Sudety mountains ..

Morskie Oko, again a good place to start but there are even better and less tourism overwhelmed places. Polish old cities are full of old and renovated town houses and they are pretty beautiful. Gdańsk actually differs from Kroków quite significantly as their history and location is different. I would add at least Poznań to the cities list but still it is just a beginning. I love to watch the crowds of tourists and just walk the streets of the Old Town. Once a month I visit the Wawel Royal Castle. One of the chakras of the Earth is located here. It is the most famous chakra in Poland. As many as seven ley lines intersect in Wawel. It connects our country with four other important energy centers in the world - Rome, Vilnius, Mariazell and Stonehenge. One of the lines coming out of it passes through Jasna Góra and heads towards Bornholm, which was a former place of worship for Burgundians and Normans. Another one reaches Jerusalem. I invite to Cracow .

Bez smaku!!! Poza tym mimo wybornej i obszernej kuchni, serwujemy ciągle te same dania.

I definitely recommend visiting Lublin and the mountains known as Bieszczady. Lublin is smaller than Kraków, Gdańsk or Wrocław, but it is also a beautiful and extremely atmospheric city (it is located 160 km south-east of Warsaw). On the other hand, the Bieszczady Mountains (mountains located in the very south-eastern corner of Poland) are unique. Not as high as the Tatras, but they have a unique character, wonderfully preserved wild nature, the tops of the highest ranges are covered with pastures, from which there are wonderful views.

One of the beautiful places in Wroclaw is the University's buildings located very close to townhall's square. I love the University's gorgous baroque architecture esp the main building with its Mathematical tower and the university's Chapel, and the Ossolineum Institute (National Library) building and the medieval, red brick buildings of archeological department of the University. It's a really beautiful country. I live in the States and no one state of the US has so much to partake; events, geography, museums. Poland is small enough to get on the train and go across the country to a fun event or summer festival or something; everything is accessible.

The people in Poland are so friendly, helpful and nice. But, the nature too is impressive, Warmia for example - so many small and big lakes in the woods. Wonderful. All Trójmiasta cities are nice places, not only for holidays - i believe for living there too. Gdańsk is such a beautiful city, only Stockholm in Sweden is more beautiful in Bałtyk. Anyway, i love Poland. I can imagine at one day to life there. Every person who visit Poland should go to Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot and the peninsula Hel.

Honestly, I feel like you could probably spend a week touring Kraków alone.
I know when I was taking my Japanese friends around the city, there was so much to see, and yet so little time - the WW2 Home Army museum, The medieval museum beneath the central square, the Royal castle, National Museum, Jan Matejko's (one of our most famous, if not THE most famous painter) house, Aviation museum (we have a Sopwith Camel there), Hutten-Czapski's coin museum, museum of the House Czartoryski, civil engineering museum, Słowacki's theatre, the Kazimierz district... Then you've got the St. Maria's basilica, but also many, _many_ smaller churches, all around the town - and after you are done with touring the city during the day, you can pop into one of _many_ pubs to have a cold one. And most of those are just the centre of Kraków. Outside you have the already mentioned Auschwitz-Birkenau camp complex, and on the other side there are Wieliczka and Bochnia, both famous for their salt mines, which are 30 and 60 minutes away from Kraków respectively.
And it's not just Kraków that is this way. Poznań, Gdańsk, Wrocław, Warszawa - these are the larger cities, but also smaller ones like Sandomierz, Kazimierz, Nowy Sącz... So many castles - Castle Chojnik, Malbork, Pieskowa Skała, Czorsztyn, Nowy Wiśnicz... Then you've got the nature - Tatra mountains, Three Crowns, Mazury lakes, Hel, all the national parks... I feel like you could spend a year here and not see half of what we have to offer :D
EDIT: If you're more interested in nature, then Pieniny, Bieszczady, Tatry and Mazury would definitely be up your alley, just to name a few regions.
EDIT2: Regarding the Warsaw architecture: After the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, German command decided to level the city to the ground, which resulted in the city getting completely ravaged. Unfortunately, what came right after that, were the Soviets, who, either due to hatred for the "bourgeoisie" architecture, or lack of qualified architects due to many political cleansings, after communists got into power, instead of rebuilding the city the way it was, they've decided to replace all the medieval architecture with this disgusting, brutalist, utilitarian style, sometimes even completely redrawing the city plan. I remember reading somewhere, that they even wanted to "finish the city off", by destroying what was left of the old architecture, but I don't know how much truth there is to that.
