With Master Duel doing a TCG event we took advantage to show off the deck that shadow uses at his locals and in real life. The deck is very capable without electumite, and still has plays to out droll. A lot of people seem to think this deck is done once drolled and without Electrumite, but that is far from the truth. We go in depth with the deck profile at the end of the video. Let me know if this was helpful and if you think you will be picking up endymions! By the way this deck gets to Master 1 every season in master duel as well. Hopefully they bring back the NEW TCG event in master duel as well.

Shadow, the way you play showcases the deck’s synergy so well. I’ll play games (even with electrumite) and think that I hit a wall, but I see in your vids all the different ways you can keep rolling. That’s why Endymion is so fun. When you have spell counters you have all kinds of options, it’s just being able to recognize what they are in the moment haha.
In the dragon link game, pend summoning into goddess’ zones then knowing that you can steal dis pater to link climb, was just awesome.
Anomaly over here wondering when you’re gonna summon electrumite 😂 no shadow is just flexing.

I really appreciate it, Cooper! You saying “you have all kinds of options. You just need to recognize them in the moment” is exactly what I’ve been trying to tell people when they keep asking for a combo guide. I always describe it as “there aren’t any combos; just small interactions that you can do each time.” But the very basis of that idea is that the deck just has plenty of options for whatever moment it’s in, which makes it so much more versatile than most decks.
I’m also glad you enjoyed the duels and plays against the D Link player. I thought it was epic that I could use Dharc for a double summon instead of just one extra monster for link summon. And Dis Pater also not only gave me another monster or even more attack points, but also gave me another negate in case he had disruptions too. It makes me enjoy the deck even more that I can do things like that.
Lastly, even when rewatching the video, I laughed at Anom thinking I was about to go for the banned Electrumite 😂. Once again proving that Endymions is not just “Electrumite cope” or anything. It’s still strong on its own.
I was waiting for this video for a long time, I felt that with the absence of Electrumite the deck faltered a little, but I couldn't be more wrong, excellent masterclass as always.

I’m glad you enjoyed, Rex! Electrumite just makes this deck have a safety net in case you don’t have the pendulum you need for a certain scenario, but even without her, the deck can still hold its own. Electrumite also gets a draw and an extra counter but as seen in the video, Crowley gets you two draws and two extra counters as well (at the cost of not getting a free pendulum from the deck). Endymion is still a threat even without Electrumite in case anyone tries saying that the deck dies if she’s banned.

Damn man. I’ll miss your content. I’ve watched for a while now. About 6 months before the ban on union carrier which ruined infinite negates. That was my favorite deck ever. I hope everything irl works out for you. Hopefully you come back one day. Good luck.

Just a question, have you ever tried using pendulum engines like magicians, pendulumgraph, or zarc in Endymion? A friend told me those can work really well, but all lists I find are pure, so I don't even know where to start 😅
Appreciate it! I know they can be used. But shadow does not use those cards in this deck. He sticks to pure spell counters and likes the ability to think on the spot. But yeah there definitely are builds out there that utilize those cards
So back when I was first learning Endymions back in 2019, I had a friend who also tried learning the deck too and he used the Pen Mage variant of the deck. It bricked quite a bit and he ultimately came to the conclusion that the pure version was just more consistent. I’d still agree with him to this day because there are plenty of scenarios where I’m using the deck and I need any cards that hold counters to resolve my Jackal, Institution, or even Endymion. Having only the pen mages in my hand would make it so the only thing I can really do with them is pen summon them, and this deck wants to wait until the last possible action to pen summon. The pen mage “engine” might work if you’re using a majority of those cards in the deck and only just a few Endymion cards, but their mechanic conflicts with the Endymion mechanic too much to merely be a supporter for the deck. Besides, Pen Mages rely on Electrumite too much while Endymions don’t need her in order to win (as evidenced by the above video).
@@shadowspector3611I had the exact same thing happen. A friend at locals convinced me to switch to a pend mage build, which just used servant to tutor jackal king and protect electrumite. He sort of was right because in paper play your turns get very long with proper spell counter management. I was losing so many games I had in the bag because of the, imho atrocious time rules (the previous rule with 3 extra turns was more fair), so I gave in. But in my core I knew that pure spell counter builds are just stronger no matter the banlist.

This will not interrupt even electromite banned in TCG,still had beyond the pendulum and mostly need searcher like master Cerberus to gain monster for pendulum
I know Atleast for shadow he doesn’t ever use beyond the pendulum. I wonder though if he would consider it one day

@@thefinalanomalyI know shadow doesn't but I would play 1 anyway because there are times where losing counters in the scales won't matter anyway and a link 2 that grabs an extra scale is just too strong. Besides a build like this let's you load up counters via institution and citadel easily anyway. Respect for shadow's build but you can absolutely play BtP, you just can't be greedy with it, unlike with electrumite BtP is a card you should only go into after you passed through all hand disruptions that could really punish you for playing it.

Hello 👋 is it possible to get some advice for a side deck card for Endymion in Master Duel ( for Custom event w/ side deck ). I need some help with going first & second tech options cause every one is siding so many ✋ hand traps.
Which event? I do have the side deck in the description for the tcg list. Also have multiple videos for this deck going to master 1 every season in master duel currently
@thefinalanomaly for Custom Master Duel Tournament like Community Events. I'm gonna try Endymion to a tournament with side deck allowed ( Master Duel standard format ). Idk how well it will go with the current meta cause everyone is main decking 15+ handtraps & 15 more handtraps/Board breakers ( super poly in particular), not very confident in a best of 3 without a good side deck

@@rexplus2793: So sorry for answering so late! The tournament you were attending is probably over and done with already but in the chance for future tournaments, great side deck cards would be Dark Ruler and Tactics Talents for going second (or first with Talents) and Secret Village for going first. When siding for going first your opponent will be siding in board breakers so you need village so you can counter it. It also helps if you get hit with handtraps to still have village to lock your opponent down. Tactics can also help because it’ll almost always be live with how many handtraps people use. If you’re going second, Thrust can also be helpful to search dark ruler or tactics or mastery. Book of eclipse is another great option since it’s always activateable. And if you’re having trouble with backrow decks, harpie’s can help (but not Lightning Storm since it’s not always activateable). Let me know if you have any other questions or need more elaboration!

When i readed electromite i thought it was in master duel and i was thinking how would be endymion without it. If that happens someday in master duel do you will be able to get master 1 as always? I know you can still making good endboards wihtout it but i've seen matches that were a win thanks to the flexibility that electromite can give you at some point (mostly going 2nd or long duels)
That’s awesome! I think if electrumite would be banned it would be challenging. I’m sure it wouldn’t stop shadow from trying. But also I guess if that was the case other cards would be banned as well effecting other decks too. So I guess it would depend on what else is banned too.
I strongly feel like Electrumite won’t be banned for a long while if Konami is willing to let actual broken things slide like King Calamity, Circular, or Maxx C. Currently, Electrumite is not on Konami’s radar so I would trust that she’s safe. But if she does get banned, I’d imagine plenty of legit broken cards would also be banned too. I use this deck at my locals all the time and I still do exceptionally well so if Electrumite indeed got banned in MD, I’d still attempt to climb to M1 with Endymions. (I’m also curious as to how many of the big Endymion TH-camrs would just drop the deck without Electrumite).
why do you need to go into artemis to use spellbook of knowledge if no blue boy? isnt knowledge just any spellcaster?
Incase you don’t have blue boy lol also a way to clear a pens monster off the board so that it don’t hit the grave
