Thank you for all.

These videos are do helpful. Thank you for them. Its made me excited to finally learn to play the drum I've had for several years. Im hoping to figure out your channel to learn how to re-view lessons I’ve seen before. Thanks again.

I was playing to The Bothy Band's "the Butterfly" and found that my double jig didn't quite work, this was before I made it to this video, but I had heard of slip jigs before, so I looked it up and, sure thing, found it to be a slip jig. I forced myself to get used to the up accents, and you're right, I HATED it at first. I love the song though, and through suborn determination, got it well enough to play. Then, I found this video was tickled pink to discover, I did it right. Thanks once again.

Hi Michelle. Excellent videos... I'm a snare drummer for the Nova Scotia Highlanders, but I'm picking up the bodhran to learn some rythems for a celtic band I'm also playing with. I have really enjoyed watching and learning from your classes and your stage perfornance. Keep up the good work and thanks.

    G'Day from Australia,
Thank you so much for this series. I received my Bodhran yesterday and am slowly working through these rhythms. I'm having heaps of fun. You are a wonderful teacher.

Thanks for these lessons Michelle. They are wonderful (although I'm only on to Day 3 so far). I bought my first bodhran this past Saturday.
I looked up the Bara MacNeils tune & was able to play along with the rhythm you used in this video. I'm excited that I could play along and it sounded half decent!
    Cheers!

How do you know when the drum skin is too tight and needs to be loosened?

I love your vids but this one was a bit more talking and less actual playing! Its really helpful to be able to play along with the video but you only actually played the rhythm for a few seconds. besides that its great ! Thanks for sharing your bodhran knowledge !!
