My dad took me from the age of 3 to adoration against my mother's wishes because she thought I was too young to do an hour. (My mom divorced my dad when I was little) My dad took me anyways and we spent one hour in adoration. Jesus put His REAL presence on my heart from that very young age. I absolutely knew that the host WAS (IS) Jesus. My dad took me to adoration at 3a.m. wrapped in a blanket. When we got to church my dad taught me the proper way to genuflect down on both knees and bowing our heads down to the ground wheneverJesus is exposed in the monstrance. This way of genuflecting is not taught or practiced today as it was when I little. I sat on the pew watching my dad pray on his knees and watching Jesus in the montrance. Dad always told me it was okay if I fell asleep because Jesus was here. I asked my dad why we had to go in the middle of the night and he told me because it was a sacrifice to go at that time because hardly anyone would sign up for the early morning times because he said most people do not want to have their sleep interrupted. To this day I am a devout practicing Catholic. My dad just died on May 17th 2020. I took care of him the last four years of his life. If it weren't for those times that dad took me to adoration when I was little I would not have my faith today. Because Jesus blessed my dad for the action of taking me and He blessed me with a supernatural faith in the REAL presence.

This is extremely helpful! I'm converting to Catholicism and I have a 9 month old a 6 and 7 year old. I like that you included how to go about it when you start talking your kids when they are older, and how to go about taking children in different age groups. I will start taking my children to adoration weekly 💕

We go with our 4 children for Confession and Adoration every Saturday. Our youngest who is 5 stays for 10 to 15 minutes. Our 8, 13 and 16 year olds stay between 1/2 hr to an hour with Jesus, part of this Holy hour is Confession and praying of the Holy Rosary.
I love that my husband is the one to lead them and encourage them to this precious time with Jesus.

What a beautiful video! This is exactly how my parents raised me and my sister. At that age we didn't understand the importance of the time spent in front of the Eucharist. We used to complete the rosary and then just stare at the Eucharist allowing our thoughts to pass by. As a 19 year old now, I'm really grateful to God for encouraging my parents to introduce us to most important person of all. May God bless you and your family! Looking forward to more inspiring content..

Thank you for such a great video. When I had a foster baby, I called him Bosco and he went to daily Mass from 3 months old onward. From 6 months to 1 year old he spent a lot of the Mass exploring the floor but he gave a lot of joy to the older people there. A kid is never too young to be in church frequently.

I was so blessed to come across this video today. I am currently in OCIA and I’m trying to navigate learning the faith while also teaching it to my children. If anyone has helpful resources for teaching the children it would be so appreciated! I have yet to go to an adoration yet, for some reason I feel as though I should go at least once by myself before bringing my children… but perhaps this is just my flesh’s excuse for not yet going.
I keep thinking it’s best for me to learn first then teach them. Maybe it is better if we learn together. I’m so worried of teaching them something incorrectly. They have at least been going to Mass with me every day. Please pray that my husband will join us.

Beautiful & encouraging video: may God Bless you for it. I have been takin my now 6 yr old son since he was a newborn to Holy Adoration. Started out with 20 mnts, now we do the whole hour! I sit him on my lap & we pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy together. I whisper in his ear how much Jesus loves him; that Mary Mother & angels are present but we cannot see them; how happy Jesus is that we are there with him & that Mary Mother is happy we are there visiting her Son. Sometimes he falls asleep. He takes his big Teddy with him (both wearing matching facemasks😊), & I think that is ok because he is teaching his Teddy to love Jesus & one day he'll teach his own children. I encourage all parents to not be afraid to take their kids from young age.

Very beautiful! It's sad when I see parents who don't even try to explain to their children why they are taking them to Mass and the hour they spend at Church on Sundays it's only about playing with other children and running around. Of course, I understand they can't pay full attention to Mass, but being slowly introduced to the faith it's so important, it's never too soon.

So beautiful! I don’t have kids, (I’m young myself) but am still touched by the sweetness of this video. Thank you :)
Also, this may seem an odd request, but do you have any knowledge regarding scrupulosity? Enough to make a video, by chance? I joined the Church last Sunday & this cross is already threatening to steal my joy & peace in Jesus. I want to return to the pure love/trust I felt like the children in this video, but I’m plagued w anxiety that I’ve committed a mortal sin. I understand if such a video wouldn’t work for you, of course. Thank you either way & God bless you and your beautiful family 💛

    • @gabiafterhours
      @gabiafterhours  4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

Find a good priest that can direct you and above all obey his instructions. Familiarize yourself with what is grave matter... and then if you do those things knowingly and willingly then it is a mortal sin. Find comfort in the mercy of Jesus and his most loving mother. Wear the scapular and have great confidence in Mary's promise that you won't suffer eternal fire. She is with you.

Hope first of all welcome home✝️. There is a very good book by Loreto Publications called "Scruples and Sainthood" written by Trent Beattie. Seek a priest who you can sit downk and talk to. Ask Saint Alphonsus Liguori patron Saint of the scrupulous and our Blessed Mother Mary (pray the rosary daily) to help you. Gabi was correct in everything in his answer to you. I send prayers for you with this text. God bless you Hope🙏

GabiAfterHours GabiAfterHours GabiAfterHours Thank you for this advice. I’m already doing better due to some steps I’ve taken (although I think this cross may be with me in lesser forms for the long haul). I hope when I go to college I’ll be able to follow your advice more so. Thanks again & God bless you so much

St. Theresa is my daughters patroness Saint! I’ve been seeing and hearing about a lot lately, I’m wondering if I should do a novena for her intercession

Thanks Gab, your kids a very huge, huge (like Trump) advantage- you'll all be canonized saints for sure, strive to be all third in glory in heaven (doing my best too). Pray I get to catch with the married life (I focused my resource on religious life but it wasn't meant to be). I'll do my best to protect my kids and wife (pray she's holy and beautiful too, like your Mrs. and Mother Mary :-) from not being saints at a young age- it'll be extremely hard.
    God bless, Rev. 21:4

I really appreciate this video. I have a 2 year old and I have such a yearning to go to adoration. However, when I went with him, I was so afraid of him making noise and interrupting others. But if it’s ok to go a couple of minutes. Do you have a video on how to respect Jesus in adoration? I’m a new convert from this past Easter.

    That is lovely
However, up north in the secular part of the country, adoration is once a week if lucky.... you are blessed if adoration is that available to you.

Hi Gabriel, please promote "daily visitation" rather than just "frequent visitation". We must visit Jesus in the Most Blessed Sacrament every day. That's what I promote here in Indonesia. Hope one day we can work together to spread the true devotion to Jesus and Mary to all Catholics in the world 🙏

Hi everyone, so if I understand correctly, we genuflect on both knees when entering the adoration chapel, but do we only add the bow if Jesus is exposed? Also, what's the process for exciting the adoration chapel? Thanks in advance!

Hi Gaby.. I am from Kerala, India and here we dont really practise taking children for adoration. I was always frowned upon for doing it. They are too young, why do u do it are some common questions i am asked here. I shared this video with english speaking friends of mine and ever since i have this urge to translate this video to malayalam, our native language, God willing. I wanted to get your permission to use the video with a malayalam voice over, if thats ok. Do let me know.

GabiAfterHours if go and adore even the closed door and your heart suffers and your soul longs for Him offer all your sorrow and pain to the Sweet Heart of the Blessed Marry so that She gives it to Her Son. This will be the best gift we can give Them. The more pain we can give the more souls will be saved. I’ ve just read a great book La Vergine Maria e il Diavolo negli Esorcismi and there we get pv.precious tips and knowledge about how to use our free will in order to defeat the demon. I recommend reading this great guide for every soul willing to work for/with Jesus and Marry
