I watch my son for hours play this game and as a Greek it put me in enigma living the game in those years. Well done to the producers of this wonderful game.
One of the best games I've ever played. There's not enough studios out there delving into antiquity and mythology. Ultimately it's been such a treat that that Ubisoft did this through Assassin's Creed. I need more stuff like this.
I dont care if this “isnt an AC game” because the game is simply brilliant. The ambientation and script is just beautiful and from the beginning you feel very identified with your character

I just don't like Odyssey as a whole, especially compared to Origins, which was just awesome in my opinion. The dialogue was boring (and the options absolutely unnecessary..I never asked for shitty romance either. I used to play AC to get away from the regular rpg mechanics...and now they included these into the game. Yay.) and I couldn't even skip it. The amount of "MALAKA" said in the game is so upsetting that I get triggered everytime I hear it. The story is boring,plus deciding the gender of the main character is just not that great. You clearly can notice that the story was written for Kassandra,not Alexios. Why even have that option then? The fact that you are on your ship a lot of the time doesn't make it better for me as well, since 1. I have motion sickness and get dizzy and nauseous whenever I'm on a ship (not the game's fault, of course, but doesn't improve mu opinion of Odyssey) 2. It's wobbling around a lot unlike in Origins with fast boats 3. The ship missions are always the most tedious ones and you get attacked on sea 24/7 The idea of Odyssey is also a bit...off? You had Origins, which was supposed to show the origins of the Assassins...Alright. That's logical...And now we go even further back in time?? To the origin of the origin? How does that makes sense. You know, originally Origins was supposed to have missions in it where you could travel to Greece, right? I assume that the designs and everything was already decided on, but Origins was already big enough without Greece as an addition, and Ubishit decided to make more money of of it (as usual) and just expand the already decided Greece-part. Because it 100% feels like it. And I believe that is why people say it isn't an AC to them anymore, as it feels more like a knockoff AC fan game than an actual AC with pretty decent mechanics, story, gameplay and feel to it.
He is really a malaka. I mean when you load your save game, sometimes you can see a hint which says something like "Markos is very selfish but he always will help you when you are in trouble". But the whole fckn game I've never seen him helping me with any of my missions. In fact, it was always me saving his ass whenever he has problems.

Kate some friendly advice, I completed the game, so what you do if you want to save Alexis, tell him what actually happened, how you tried to save him and killed that elder.
I've played Odyssey since pre-release, and after such a long time getting to know and love the characters of the game, it broke my heart to finish the crossover event and hear this in the credits

I don't understand why people are hating this game because "It's not an Assassin's Creed game, I miss Ezio", I mean, c'mon it's almost over a decade that AC II was released, things changes, you know, go play Ezio Trilogy instead, I hated all the games after AC III (except Rogue) because the gameplay was always the same and the stories were bland, I'm loving the new game style started in Origins instead! The Assassin order was created during Origins, which is way after Odyssey. The reason me, and a lot of others dislike the game is because there aren't any Templars or Assassins in the entire game, making it pointless. What's the next thing we are getting? You can play as Adam and Eve against the gods?
They explained the birth of Templars in this game, also, why not, we need a chapter about ISU and the rebellion started by Adam and Eve since they constantly talks about the First Civilization since the first game
The Cult are the Templars! The Cult is alive even in Origins and they'll become the Templars during history, like in the Origins' "Hidden Ones" DLC, if you kill one of them, no matter what, others will come, Bayek saw that and the enemy explained that (DLC's boss)

I really liked the game. It was a lot of fun doing the side quests, experiencing the stories of the people and the details as well as music in the game. I still remember the story on Mykonos and the celebration in the end. The beauty of Athens and riding through the golden fields of Sparta.I think the game has fulfilled its goal to make people go to play and sometimes searching online for the true stories or legends of greece. As far as the Assassins part is concerned, everyone can calmly have their opinion. I have not played an AC game for years and this game reminded me of the good times of AC Brotherhood and Black Flag. Hope people have fun with the game.
Code Geass lakonia is my favourite region. I just love the green beautiful fields and the red flowers, the huge snowy mountains, lush forests filled with deer, boars, wolves and bears and the amazing coasts. It’s just beautiful

This is the most divine and ancient AC title ever.

Ac is my favorite game, I've played every single one, multiple timesx but don't know whats all that ezio fanboy shit. For me the best AC are the last 2 - origins and odyssey, cuz they are long and theres a lotta stuff to do unlike thw first assassins where u keep doing the same quests over and over till u reveal the templars.

Gaming Creed I was saying that those lyrics you provided are the English version, not the English translation for THIS version. Would be nice if we had one. The amount of "MALAKA" said in the game is so upsetting that I get triggered everytime I hear it. The story is boring,plus deciding the gender of the main character is just not that great. You clearly can notice that the story was written for Kassandra,not Alexios. Why even have that option then?
The fact that you are on your ship a lot of the time doesn't make it better for me as well, since 1. I have motion sickness and get dizzy and nauseous whenever I'm on a ship (not the game's fault, of course, but doesn't improve mu opinion of Odyssey) 2. It's wobbling around a lot unlike in Origins with fast boats 3. The ship missions are always the most tedious ones and you get attacked on sea 24/7
The idea of Odyssey is also a bit...off? You had Origins, which was supposed to show the origins of the Assassins...Alright. That's logical...And now we go even further back in time?? To the origin of the origin? How does that makes sense.
You know, originally Origins was supposed to have missions in it where you could travel to Greece, right? I assume that the designs and everything was already decided on, but Origins was already big enough without Greece as an addition, and Ubishit decided to make more money of of it (as usual) and just expand the already decided Greece-part. Because it 100% feels like it. And I believe that is why people say it isn't an AC to them anymore, as it feels more like a knockoff AC fan game than an actual AC with pretty decent mechanics, story, gameplay and feel to it.

He is really a malaka. I mean when you load your save game, sometimes you can see a hint which says something like "Markos is very selfish but he always will help you when you are in trouble". But the whole fckn game I've never seen him helping me with any of my missions. In fact, it was always me saving his ass whenever he has problems.
Reuniting my family, undoing Kassandra's indoctrination, and seeing Myrinne hug her children to this song at the end of my Odyssey...manly tears.

I don't understand why people are hating this game because "It's not an Assassin's Creed game, I miss Ezio", I mean, c'mon it's almost over a decade that AC II was released, things changes, you know, go play Ezio Trilogy instead, I hated all the games after AC III (except Rogue) because the gameplay was always the same and the stories were bland, I'm loving the new game style started in Origins instead! Odyssey is one of my favourite game along side with Origins and Ezio Trilogy, different yet good, that's not a problem to change things!

The Assassin order was created during Origins, which is way after Odyssey. The reason me, and a lot of others dislike the game is because there aren't any Templars or Assassins in the entire game, making it pointless. What's the next thing we are getting? You can play as Adam and Eve against the gods?
They explained the birth of Templars in this game, also, why not, we need a chapter about ISU and the rebellion started by Adam and Eve since they constantly talks about the First Civilization since the first game

The Cult are the Templars! The Cult is alive even in Origins and they'll become the Templars during history, like in the Origins' "Hidden Ones" DLC, if you kill one of them, no matter what, others will come, Bayek saw that and the enemy explained that (DLC's boss)

I really liked the game. It was a lot of fun doing the side quests, experiencing the stories of the people and the details as well as music in the game. I still remember the story on Mykonos and the celebration in the end. The beauty of Athens and riding through the golden fields of Sparta.I think the game has fulfilled its goal to make people go to play and sometimes searching online for the true stories or legends of greece. As far as the Assassins part is concerned, everyone can calmly have their opinion. I have not played an AC game for years and this game reminded me of the good times of AC Brotherhood and Black Flag. Hope people have fun with the game.
Code Geass lakonia is my favourite region. I just love the green beautiful fields and the red flowers, the huge snowy mountains, lush forests filled with deer, boars, wolves and bears and the amazing coasts. It’s just beautiful

This is the most divine and ancient AC title ever.

Ac is my favorite game, I've played every single one, multiple timesx but don't know whats all that ezio fanboy shit. For me the best AC are the last 2 - origins and odyssey, cuz they are long and theres a lotta stuff to do unlike thw first assassins where u keep doing the same quests over and over till u reveal the templars.
The Greek language is the divine one. The Olympians are still present in each and every word, bringing us the glimpse of joy from the ancient world .
It’s amazing how even when we don’t understand the lyrics in a song, it can still touch your soul. This game is absolutely beautiful.

I will give you two examples below: the first, search Ελευθερία Αρβανιτάκη & Σταύρος Σιόλας - Στην Πλάτη Του Καιρού and find my comment from 1 month ago under the clip. There I give the modern Greek lyrics to this lovely ancient-sounding song as well as a translation into Ancient Greek by ChatGPT. the second search Running up that hill Cover in Early Middle English BARDCORE/MEDIEVAL version and (try to) read the Middle English (which he says very nicely) version on the left of the screen and compare it to the Modern English on the right. A perfect example and answer to your question, I believe💙🧿

The first time I played Odyssey and heard this song it just touched my soul in a profound way even though I don't speak a word of Greek.
I'm 600+ hours in it with Alexios, in Atlantis, with 2 more missions to go, until I'll finish the game and I'm already sad to see this masterpiece end. I can't wait to start NG+ with Kassandra. Kudos to everyone from Ubi, for delivering a top AAA+ game for us to enjoy. Definitely the best AC game I've played and I've played ALL of them!

Gaming Creed I was saying that those lyrics you provided are the English version, not the English translation for THIS version. Would be nice if we had one. But as commenter Dimitris Dimarelos said, the accent appears off and would probably be a pain to translate while also trying to figure out what the singer is saying.

@Lucifer Morningstar Correct! Though I played several AC games (AC1, 2, 3, brotherhood, revelations, black flag, origin, odyssey), I still prefer Rpg games like elder scroll or Dragon age. So I really like it when new AC games add more Rpg elements. Hope Valhalla keep into this direction.
