Do you ever have one of those weeks were it feels like nothing goes right?! That was this week for us haha You've got to laugh right otherwise you'd just cry I think! From a computer bug that deleted this weeks vlog so I had to re-film to get a vlog up for you guys today, to a garden renovation issue that meant so many of our beautiful shrubs got taken away unexpectedly, a waste pipe got struck while the work was happening and THEN our car was damaged in a weird unexplained accident that has baffled us... ah life! Sending lots of love to you all guys and here's to a better week next week that's not so up in the air haha x

Don't people in the UK have personal insurance?? It's mandatory in Switzerland and I never thought that there are countries where people don't have to have it!

You know you’re an adult when you weep over your garden. Seriously, though, that must have been devastating to come home to an entire garden’s worth of greenery that had been ripped out. In the end, I’m sure it was for the best, like you and Alex said, but it still hurts so much in the moment. Having said all that, I’m so excited to see how your garden turns out! I’m sure it’ll be BEAUTIFUL! Fingers crossed you both can get your second vaccine soon, babe. I had my second jab a couple weeks ago and the amount of relief that flooded over me once that needle went in was unbelievable. What we’ve all gone through during the past 1.5 years has been brutal, but we’re almost there. Big hugs to you both xo

My dogs always love a new outdoor project too! 😂 we always keep lots of towels for muddy pups by the door! Hard to get upset when they are so cute and having so much fun!
In Germany almost everyone has a „human insurance“ called Haftpflichtversicherung 😄

As you say it’s a blank canvas in the garden, think of it as an empty house and you get to choose the furniture! You can now put anything anywhere! Love the Jacket. Definitely going to take a look at Sophie Allport stuff! Take care of yourselves you will soon get your second jab. Lovely vlog. 🦋
Wow! It really was a challenge this week for you. However, on the bright side you were able to quickly find a solution to an expensive mistake. I can't wait to see the end result.
This Wednesday is my two weeks post shot #2. I cannot tell you the relief I feel knowing I'm close to the max protection. I did feel crummy the day after shot 2, but I'm sure much better than getting covid! You'll get yours soon!💛💛
OMG, I am so confused, why would inteligent Victoria, book tree surgeon to visit her home to do work on day she is definitely not going to be home, nor is Alex, and for tree surgeon to be let in in their absence let alone other labourers! OMG. It take ages to grow vegetation tall and thick to hide fence panels!!! I always use photographs and mark items on them to have clear instructions in evidence of what is to be done. So sorry to hear what happened.

Space and light. Looks bigger. Now you get to choose what trees and shrubs you want to put in. A clear landscape. That’s proper garden design. 👍♥️👍I been double jabbed. Both times I was ill after. But scientists say it’s a good thing, because it means your immune system is responding correctly to the vaccine.. first time I felt nothing. Second time it hurt and made my arm bleed. But better to get it done.

How sad about the mature shrubs all going. It takes so long for them to establish and grow.

@tintin555 I get why you feel like that, before I caught Covid I’d not been vaccinated either because I was unsure but honestly it’s so much worse than the flu it’s really awful! It’s made me change my mind and want to get vaccinated ASAP so I don’t have to go through this again!
It’s called umbrella insurance in the US-
Not sure if they have it in the UK but
you may want to look into it for yourself if so. I know with your magic touch the garden will turn out beautiful- it will be even more of a transformation!

Dont rush too much to add new trees/plants. You get a chance to do something really cool now with the space.

You’re so zen. I’m sorry about your trees. Gardeners did that to me too. Still miss my red twigged bushes.
Sounds like you already have a plan for your yard now, but if you’re still trying to think of more anchoring plants/trees/shrubs, you might like espalier apple or pear trees along your fence line. They’re trained to grow flat basically, instead of bush out.
So great that you spoke about the vaccine and really hope your friends recoveries go well. Your garden plans are exciting..they can be such magical spaces with lights and color and scents.

They do say things come in threes, I love how your try to look at the sunny side. If you can’t do anything about it, much better for your overall health and well being. I am sure you can claim where someone doesn’t have insurance there is a gov agency x

Hi Victoria I’m not sure if it’s different in the UK but here in the US if a pedestrian/bicyclist damages your car they can most likely use their home or renters insurance. Hope that helps 💕.

Hello, your chilli plant needs a water and feed, its producing all those chillis and its energy is being zapped. You need to pick the chillis regularly and a feed should get it back into good health.

In Belgium we have this 'family insurance', where you and everyone who lives with you, including pets are insured for all damage you would do. This is not mandatory, but like everyone has it. :D

Oh!! All those shrubs!! What a shock! Like you say, it's nice to have the opportunity to plant exactly what you want but the extra cost of having to replant when you weren't expecting to is quite a shock. My tree surgeon was supposed to come round this weekend but never turned up and didn't return my call, have you found that at all? Tradespeople seem to be really tricky to pin down!!
Strange that it’s eight weeks over there between shots. I am in Massachusetts, and when you get your first shot, they book you right at the same time for four weeks out to get your second one. I wonder why it’s different over there. I’m sure I could look into it, but I would assume everyone would be the same. Guess not 🤷🏻♀️🙂

I’m so sorry you’ve been through a bit of trouble. I congratulate you on spinning the landscaping debacle into a positive opportunity to get exactly what you want! You’ll be able to create a landscape that will look beautiful in all seasons as well as help camouflage the fence! So far I’m loving the curved lines of your little stone work! Speaking of seeing next steps... can you take your computers in and have them de-bugged from those evil hackers stealing your footage? Or maybe they can recover the footage somehow? If it were downloaded, I would hope they could find it somehow! (Clearly I am the furthest from a computer guru! 🤪)
And a scratched and banged up car is certainly a pain, but I agree it is minor in the grand scheme of things. However, I think you are well within your rights to ask the person that damaged your car to pay for the repairs, should you want to pursue that avenue. Accidents happen, but we all must accept responsibility for our actions regardless if they were intentional or not. Regardless of the financial burden, you’ll have it repaired and good as new!

What vaccine did you get?
In New Zealand we have the Pfizer, second injection two weeks after.
I was curious when you said you get the second injection eight weeks after the first.

In the US the vaccines are 3 weeks apart. It’s a shame you have to wait 8 weeks. Stay safe

Had my second one in a month. for pfizer it is 21 days after first one. Your centre just had their own process but its not because of the vaccine that needs to wait.

Same, in Spain Pfizer's second shot is 21 days after the first one. And Moderna something like that. I thought every country used the same time frames... 🤔
I was hospitilazed for 10 days because of covid and it was awful, anyone ahí can get the vaccine please do it🥺
That's really weird about the vaccines; mine was three weeks between the two, which is the recommended time here in the US. We got Pfizer, back in April/May.
It seems to be different in different countries dependent on availability and also recommendations from the govt. Hopefully soon! xx
