I've had a tough time with my wife over the last 10 months: I was lazy leading the family spiritually but God started waking me up in January 2022 and He got me fully awake a year later. The issues coincided with me starting to step up into my role as husband and father: my wife has told me she will leave me (we're both born again), said she's thought of divorcing me, told me she doesn't think I'm a good leader with her actions, shouted at me, emasculated me etc when I told her I felt we needed to change churches due to some repetitive non-Biblical teaching at the church we attended and which she felt called to serve in. Through it all, I've had the enemy come against me and put thoughts in my head about leaving or letting her go, but I have resisted them in Christ [I've actually felt God tell me not to put her away many times]. Somehow God has given me much patience with our two children. I struggled with pornography through most of our marriage and I came clean to her, and somehow God has placed it in my heart to occasionally say "please do not charge any of this to her account". I'm not a spiritual giant and I know there is no way this has been in my own strength: if it had happened 15 months ago, I would have fallen to pieces, but God has been gracious to me, and helped me see my own many many faults and started working on me to get rid of them. This testimony from John and Lisa encourages me to keep holding on.
