@spelwerdzrite actually, I don't think they do. It's not like that in Puyo vs Puyo, and since puyo damage is based on scoring, and garbage doesn't grant extra points, I don't see how PvT would be any different.
I have an better idea that would not effect pvsp and tvst games, make the garbage works as the type that the garbage is, for example if the garbage that the puyo player is going to take is from tetris make it just to instantly pop in the puyo's side like if he took it normally but it would take less time and allow puyo to have more time to keep stacking at least for the veterans any second counts and for tetris when they take pyuo garbage the field is not going to raise instantly but raise slowly of the puyo is flooding the player from below and blocking the tetris player from doing any move while he is taking damage (same punishment that puyo players take when taking damage) I think that alone would make the matchs way more balanced whitout affecting the same type game matchup.
If you exclusively watch wumbo for some reason you might think that tetris has the upper hand, but usually there arent many people who are godly in tetris who can just brute force their way through anything The respective games are still very different to be put up against each other though :/
Really, it’s that Puyo is easy for beginners. They output more damage for a 2-Combo than Tetris does. Tetris, on the other hand, has speed, and odd stuff like T-Spins that Puyo doesn’t get access to. So, Puyo beginners easily beat Tetris beginners, but Puyo masters typically lose to Tetris masters because of complex moves.
Ok, for as quick as that first match was. They valiantly pushed during the second match, actually had a little worried for a moment but then you just dealt a swift counterattack. I think my surprise was how many times they seemed on the brush of death, but barely escaped.
Ehh. Im not gonna watch puyo v tetris games anymore, its just puyo fighting as hard as they can just fir the trash mechanic to be unbalanced in tetris favor. The ones where theyre both the same game with switching is far more intresting.
Its not as one sided as you think, What you are seeing is someone on top of tetris that is brute forcing his victory with ungodly precision and speed. Normally Puyos actually have more advantage and more power behind their attacks and are often able to one shot tetris if they do not do early agression and do not counter well. As tetris one shots puyos are not really a thing.

You gotta admit, she held on for AGES in round 2.
Playing puyo puyo under these conditions would be so stressful omg
Wumbo has been playing tetris for like 12+ years and he’s fast, so it can be really stressful
A possible idea for balance: count garbage bubble clears as Puyo clears? After all, Tetris gets line clear credit for their garbage clearing.
they are counted (last I checked)

Original comment is a pretty good idea for pvt specifically

The trouble is that the garbage blocks your combos on puyo while it often enables an easy tetris
@@redbuck1385yeah, thats one problem when garbage can sometimes be good in tetris

"Puyo can beat Tetris?"
Wumbo laughs in Tetris. 😆
So ShiroBrawl's first mistake was picking Puyo Puyo.
Too bad they're not facing just "any" Tetris.
I was looking at this like, "Someone keeping up with wumbo finally?" But then I see Shiro, and I'm like, oh, lol.
This is the type of match where 2 gods 1v1 and they say to each other "gg" at the end.
A skilled Wumbo can beat any versus puzzle game?
A skilled Wumbo can beat Puzzle Kombat?
Sick battle Shiro!
Man, THAT was a fight
Wumbo this the kind of match we like watching not when your just recking puyo. In the beginning
tetris needs to be nerfed this is insane
pro player tetris vs noob player puyo and puyo wins

A skilled Tetris can beat any puyo
Just once, I'd like to see a video of you winning playing puyo puyo vs another good tetris player
How many Tetrisses does it take to beat a puyo puyo?
Either 4 or a f ton
I straight up feel sorry for puyo players oml 😭
Managing to beat margin time puyo is a feat, one 2 chain will negate 3 B2Bs worth of garbage
tsu should have hard drop part 2
