Genuinely impressed at how dark it got as it went in this video
errr did he was he jinxing LFC then?
@@antwango dark as in, the sun went down
@@seth1455I was so confused lmfa0 I was trying to turn the brightness up on my screen 💀
Liverpool were great in the press and fantastic in attack, our defence still needs work even though they're doing really well, it was really good to see Nunez get off the mark and absolutely no one can say it doesn't matter to him..
Another reasonable performance, and I can't wait until they really get moving.
Nunez has my full backing! You can see he was relieved! He was desperately trying to contribute in defence as well!
It isnt the attack of defence. Sometimes teams are able to get through the front four press which is where issue is
don;t forget Chiesa...the guy is gonna be amazing
What an introduction hey. Dude is hungry
perfectly timed with the sunset
The biggest issue I don't see yet mentioned by anyone is that for all the analysis on Slot introducing more controlled football, we are still scoring a majority of our goals on fast breaks and counterattacks.
One could argue that Slot is merely improving the way Klopp got his team to attack. Previously we'd hog all the possession but we'd be camped in the opposition half, and not bait the opposition upfield to free up space for our speedy attackers. Now we're still playing Klopp-ball, just being a little smarter about it.
However, that does not solve the problem of breaking down teams that sit on the low block and refuse to press, merely waiting for fast break opportunities themselves. For all the talk about how Slot is influenced by Guardiola, the latter's ability to break down low blocks has not been evident in how Slot is getting Liverpool to play....yet.
Hopefully he already has the answers, just that the players still need time to hone their skills to play in the way that CAN break low blocks down.
Seeing the window and the curtains I was about to ask if you are in Greece, but Italy makes sense as well I guess!
Another top level performance from Gravenberch. Seriously think he missed placed only 1 or 2 passes.
You're living your best life bro.
I'll criticize Trent today, though, there were moments when he was sloppy way too often. I have been seeing Szobo get a lot of criticism I find it very strange.
Dom is playing well, but sometimes he is a bit to slow to move the ball. There was a moment where he could've shot or passed the ball, maybe we get a 4th, but he tried something on his own, and lost the ball. And he has done similar things before ( like in the man U game for example). Overall, he is playing well, but he can be a lot better, and i think that's why some ppl complain about him
Szobo Trent Salah deserved critiscism the forest game! ALL 3 couldnt pass to each other to save their lives for some reason in that game! I can definitely see the Szobo critiscism was warranted! He does alot of running! hes good at it but i think it tires him out and he fails to pass properly....
this is my explanation why Szobo doesnt shoot and get into shooting positions.... hes also been instructed to as well....
im not hating on Szobo but he was losing the ball ALOT without being pressed in that game! the prem is now catching up to him, you can see that hes slimmed down alot!
Szobo will now get better! He hit the ground running last season with klopp and everybody was singing his praises.... then he got injured and never got back to his brilliant start
Would I be slandered if I asked why Salah hasn't got any criticism in the last few games?
@@davidkevwe8542 Last FEW games? WTAF is wrong with you? He’s had multiple goals and or assists in all games this season apart from Forrest, in which no one turned up.
@evieiscool555 sighs, I know what you mean. But today, he missed really good chances, Milan was fair enough, but I'm being picky here. There have been very poor final balls from MO, Forest, Milan, Today.
Some brilliant football at times today! YNWA
Vs low block sides is where i do have my concerns....
That’s just one match.
It’s always been an issue for this team since Klopp. Ofcrs he‘d need some time to change that .
Sometimes, Laurence, it seems like you’re just talking for the sake of it. All the goals today were the perfect exemplification of Slot’s philosophy. Individual brilliance within a cohesive team system. Of course it’s not perfect. It will likely never be. But it’s a pretty good start, and I, for one, believe it will get better. Where the ceiling is? We don’t know yet
I agree. Maybe it’s the way how he appears to just film whatever comes to his head. Alice “ECILA FOOTBALL” is what I watch. She creates very informed videos and doesn’t ramble as she’s got notes in front of her.
He talks like he’s on a 40 min podcast, which I think is his background, but his videos are a few decent points surrounded by a lot of waffle.
LFC is exactly what it is at the moment: a very good team from Klopp which will improve under Slot given time. Supporters will have to be patient and let Slot work with the whole team instead of overreacting after each match with superlatives and negatives. Slot will find out which players wont fit his system and then see if the transfer market has the solutions. This LFC is equally capable of challenging City as well as falling short. More new players will only make the work more complicated for Slot.
low block is where the problem lies. cant seem to break it down
God imagine if that chiesa volley went in, man's first touch is goal
That would have been awesome!
Bournemouth had way toooooo many chances against us, especially at Anfield..... Great game but should have been better.
We a very lucky of diaz form at the moment,a top 5 team would of beat us easily today, maybe thats being super critical, sinistera came on and exposed trents lacklustre defending atleast 3times,szboz and mcallister ball retention can be infuriating and will be exposed against a better transitional team, but 5games will take all the positives and hopefully things gel and top form becomes a consistant, ynwa,
hey whats that drawing in the window supposed to be?? I keep getting distracted by it lol
It's the pattern on a net curtain...😂
Liverpool lack composure and ball retention especially in MF. Bournemouth looked more comfortable in that department
It's a trap for them not to sit back😂😂
LFC Forever Family 😊😊😊, come on lads
Bosh.
Liverpool are lacking a natural no .10 a transquista . The last natural no.10 we had was Coutinho. Maybe a Xavi Simons or a Werts type player cause slot plays through the center. We playing Szobo as a No.10 who is actually box to box . Bringing Zubamendi in January will be great cause we can play a double pivot zubi and Gravenberch and move Macca to No.10. that's what we missing.
I don’t think Slot wants a natural 10, though. He wants an athletic presser who can make runs in the final third and provide an option for teammates. Szoboszlai has amazing technique, he is just raw. Give him time, he’ll become great.
Dom is not really a natural 10, and not really playing that, more of a secondary striker, kinda what he played in bundesliga before, but also has some defensive tasks, like he tracks back when needed, thus sometimes ending up in weird positions. He is gonna get better with more games in that role, after some polishing
what's a transquista lol ? I can't tell if you've really badly spelled trequartista or if you are talking about something else
Wirtz
@@slipperywinston4076mind my spelling 😂 your spelling is right
Honestly thought this was a poor performance by our standards this season. Don’t get me wrong, I loved some of the attacking play, but we lost our composure many times and lost control of the game, especially in the second half. I don’t think we were ever threatened with losing our lead, but we conceded far too many chances in transition for Slot’s liking. Ibou and Virg were stellar once again, btw. Thought Gravenberch and Macca were good again. Gravenberch went on many powerful driving runs from midfield, and Macca threaded many incisive passes in the final third. I think as a team we were far too open, though. I assume that will improve as the season goes on, although you’d expect a more dominant overall display at Anfield. Diaz was fantastic, and I loved watching Darwin today. It’s still early on, but I feel like we saw a more composed Darwin today. He took his time with his decisions, and never rushed the occasion. Chiesa looked very sharp off the bench, and I think he’ll be an excellent addition to this side. Gakpo looked dangerous, as well. Bit concerned about West Ham in midweek. West Ham look terrible in transition, which is a bonus for us, but I wonder if they will come to Anfield and play a similar game to Forest. We’ve seen West Ham lineup with Soucek, Alvarez, and Rodriguez in midfield at the same time (all physical defensive midfielders). Not to mention the abundance of quality they have up top with Bowen, Kudus, Summerville, etc. I’d still expect us to pull through with the victory at home, though. Still very much enjoying this Slot evolution.
It was a fun watch but if I were Slot or VVD I’d be pointing out the many second half touches in the opponents box without a goal. That was a sad second half in that regard. Still stoked about this new era too.
@@Emmet.Højbjerg.the.2ndAgreed. I think there has been a trend this season where there is drop off in quality when we go up a couple of goals, which we will obviously look to improve.
I may sound crazy for noting this, but I think Anfield has lost a bit of its aura since Covid. Teams used to come to Anfield and park the bus out of fear of being blown away, and they’d consider themselves lucky to walk away from the game with a shot or two on target. Anfield was a place to be feared, and it still can be on occasion. It’s just resonated with me the way teams like Forest, Bournemouth, and Palace have come to Anfield and looked to exploit our weaknesses and get at us. Of course, I have to give credit to Bournemouth because they’ve played some excellent football recently, but I hope we can reach that level where teams genuinely fear a trip to Anfield, like they did in 2018 and 2019.
@@normanfernee3500 i think its not anfield. its more when the crowds disappeared during covid and the crowd pressure was off the smaller teams could play with more freedom and realised the gap between them and the top teams wasn't as much as they thought it was and have continued playing that way. also most new managers want their teams to play attacking football no matter where they are.
The smaller sides are giving us harder games than the bigger ones. We looked more comfortable against MU & Milan than against Ipswich, NF & B'mouth. We need to start getting physical against these lesser teams & not let them push us about.....
Trent has always been the biggest weak link in defense all this while, he will not improve much in his defending skill, there is pros and cons using him, so either get extra man to cover him or sub Bradley in when needed.
Youre in Northern Italy where Liverpool just beat Bournemouth?
Im pretty sure they didnt play in Italy.
Dom in a 10 is a weakness. He will never score the number of goals slot needs from somebody playing at that position. This team needs a Zubi to come in as a 10 and then we are in good shape.
The worrying thing though is how easily teams are still able to bypass our midfield often and get a shot at the goal. A City or an Arsenal would bury the chances Bournemouth got in the game so we need a lot of work to be done there.
Zubi is not a 10
lol 😍😍😍
Having a right back who is not just bad at defending, but actually seems uninterested in defending will always be an issue. Imagine Walker or Guardiol or White or Timber just not defending at all. Tactics become irrelevant at that point. Unless maybe you have a defensive midfielder who is basically playing as a rightback.
Don’t even bother talking about Walker 🤣 He is worse. All he has is pace. Can’t defend.
