True we can not change people evwn God did not change Judas, nor our prayer can change. Its one's conviction that can change. It took me much thought before I finally decide to do my quantum leap and that was the hardest and I've no regret from an ugly and spiky caterpillar becoming a beautiful butterfly.of course setbacks are there but its part of the change we dream of. Seeing our progress is really worth no matter how small. What is important we moved on and not stagnant. To concern people my profound thanks and gratitude..

Heavenly Father, only you know the burdens I face please bless my children. As a single mom it can be hard to have everything on your shoulders. Especially because both of my sons are autistic. It’s difficult to raise children alone but despite the challenges I face I keep faith in you Lord. As I struggle to pay rent and as I struggle to buy groceries for my children. Jesus deliver me from my anxieties, and my troubles. Give me strength. Since suffering a heart attack two years ago and my on going battle with lupus I’m overwhelmed. Help me to find strength when I am weak, And hope when I am afraid. I will keep faith no matter what I face. ❤
May the good Lord hear your prayers. God bless your family.
Thank you for sharing your life, you have enough courage and self-awareness to do that. Most of all, I admire you for anchoring your strength on faith in God. Every time that I am at my lowest points in life, I also anchor myself in God's words, because He is the One Constant in my life: "His eye is on the sparrow...," "The lilies of the fields...," "He is close to the brokenhearted...,". I always find wisdom in Fr. Dave's homily and prayers, but this New Year's message holds special meaning in my life. Hang in there, my friend, you are not alone, and I prayed for you as well. Let us always remember Jesus as He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane, as His agony is very much like ours. Jesus felt alone, He agonized about what was to come, and prayed to His Father. While we are not Jesus, we are God's beloved children, and when our cups are filled, we are all promised that "these too shall pass." May God's Peace, Strength, Joy, Grace and Love be with you always.

I praise, glorify and thank God for the gift of Fr. Dave in my life and to humanity. Your homilies always touch the core of my everyday life and struggles, my faith and hope. But this one for the New Year, holds very special meaning as I look forward to a year of my transformed and better self. I leave behind a year of losses, perhaps not as dramatic as Job's, but nevertheless a series of pain & suffering that I find tremendous in my current realities - the loss of health, job, family, and finances. Your homilies, Fr. Dave, explain the relevance of Jesus' sufferings, and you make it relatable to us. By doing so, you impart guidance, wisdom, hope, resilience, and calls to change, even though situations can be seriously challenging, soul-breaking, and heartbreaking. May God bless us all. Peace, Love, Joy, Mercy & Compassion to all in 2024 and the years to come.

In Galatians 1:10, the apostle Paul writes, "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ." This verse highlights the distinction between seeking to please people and being faithful to God's calling and truth.
Furthermore, in Romans 12:2, believers are encouraged to "not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect." This verse encourages individuals to prioritize God's will and moral righteousness over the expectations of the world.
While the Bible encourages compassion, generosity, and humility, it also emphasizes the importance of staying true to one's faith and values, even when it may not align with the desires or expectations of others. Ultimately, the biblical message is one of balancing love and service to others with a steadfast commitment to God's truth and righteousness.
