    I can't entirely agree with you about the two first disadvantages you pop up about HP:
    1. Firstly first spotting Harmonic Patterns is not difficult, you need to practice it more and more so you can be able to open a chart and without any tool have any idea of what Harmonic Formation it's being created;
    2. Harmonic Patterns are M and W patterns combined with Fibs and other correlations strategies that help you to define the probable zone where the price can reverse or continue the trend called PRZ(Potential Reversal Zone)!

    A great one again Ed. Harmonic patterns were among the first set of things I learned about trading some three years ago but I consider the fractal flow methodology with the advanced price action trading superior to the harmonic patterns. Those make more sense to me than just looking for patterns. Thanks once again Chief..

    Hi dude, I just love your videos, they have really helped me to advance in my learning. I would like to suggest the Wycoff method as a possible next video, as it is related to the demand/supply zones where the turning point lines and Fractal candles are. I already have some info on the subject and I strongly suspect this Wycoff Channel as it is called too is deeply related to the points where there is a multidimensional confluence and would be a great idea to add this concept to our tool kit since fractal candles do not come often and on a lower time frame the Wycoff channel can give a precise entry point with a more diverse range of possibilities of reading and interpreting that small portion of the chart where the price has to stop, range for a while and only then change direction.
    Many thanks in advance!

  • @deedsofdecapitation7477

    Couple questions here. First, Trading Centre lists the patterns as having specific Fibonacci retracements and extensions, and I would agree with that, given the fact that if you stretch the extensions/retracements to anywhere from 38%-88%, you could pretty much cherry pick and make them fit whenever you want them to on a chart, with such a large margin of error. I think they would be much less accurate than if you had specific 38 or 61 percent retracements and extensions. Much more objective this way.
    Another question is, when drawing these patterns, let's say you have long wicks and small candle bodies. Should I connect the patterns with the wicks, or the candle bodies, because I noticed if I cherry pick, and mix them, again I can "make them fit". But only using wicks, or only using bodies, it's much harder to make the harmonic patterns fit better.
    The last question is, how close should the retracements/extensions fit, to make the pattern valid? Is it within a reasonable (small) margin of error, or does it have to be exact?

    • @TradersEdge01
      @TradersEdge01 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have the same problem, but from the TTC I know that you should be connecting the bodies, not the whicks of the candles.

      @@TradersEdge01 Well that post was 2 months ago, since then I've been backtesting as much as possible on different time frames using different combinations of patterns. Probably done like 1000 backtests in total lol. From my experience, I'm connecting the wicks only, on anything from the daily to the 5 minute time frame.

      funny enough my buddy just told me to look up harmonic patterns today. and i have been learning elliot wave theory and i was telling him when i looked at my first butteryfly pattern on google images it looked like the abc corrective pattern of an elliot wave sequence... this just helps me further my belief that there is some sort of order to the chaotic nature of the market and they co align with the laws of our nature and life in the form of fibbonaci and fractals. this is what intrigues me the most about the whole thing. knowing how to spot this and combining it with smart money concepts to try and have an edge against the institutional traders that are trying to stop you out or trap you in seems like it could lead to mastering the markets.
