Deedee Com’on! High Water in the Alouette River - from the photography archives: August 2019

This river water in the Pacific Northwest is frigid, at least felt that way to me. My friend and I were sitting on a huge rock that filled half the riverbed. I was very nervous about such a little child braving the strong current. You’ll see across the river on another huge rock there is a couple sitting. Those are the parents and her bid sister was up-river from her. This water level was unusual for mid August. But this river dies flow year-round.
