The last levels are like that, they went downhill after the 1st AMAZING level and the last 2 are just mindless running around and shooting. Atom smasher is the same shit. Timesplitters 3 is such a massive upgrade and masterpiece. I finished timesplitters 2 for the first time right now and people overhyped it to no end. Oh and people also overhyped the difficulty too. On normal this game is not that hard. It's just artificial lengthening of the game via knowledge checks through dying and repeating. With quicksaves on the android emulator and the fact that levels are less than 10 minutes long, it's not a big deal. I thought atom smasher and the 2nd to last levels were gonna be brutal. Instead I just had to restart them both once because this game is VERY arcadey and it banks on you not making mistakes, knowing what to do so you don't lose health as it doesn't Regen. Overall, it's a fun arcade game. I much prefer future perfect though. By a lot. Timesplitters 2 is an 8/10 and future perfect is a 9.5/10

I love FP too, and the gunplay/story/mapmaker are way better, but it lacks difficulty and the level variety from breaking and entering onwards is bad. Your argument about the difficulty of TS2 can be applied to any game, including FP lol.
I could beat this game when I was younger with no guides. But replaying this in my older years I’m finding myself looking at TH-cam videos to figure out what to do because I can’t remember lol.
WHAT?! I hope you did play future perfect by now cuz it's a MASSIVE improvement over the 2nd one on EVERYTHING, characters, music, story, level design and quests especially. Oh and the variety! Timesplitters 2 has variety in levels, timesplitters 3 has variety in themes, comedy, quests, enemies etc .. Oh and they actually improved the gameplay and gunplay as well, with more variety in guns. I LOVE how each level has its own sets of time accurate guns. I'm sad they didn't bring a western level like in the 2nd one though.. I love western games. Hunt showdown being one of the best ones. I'm also playing red dead revolver, trying for the first time gun and darkwatch. I just finished it on my phone and honestly, Timesplitters 2 kinda left me underwhelmed. I played the 3rd one when I was around 12 or 13 when it came out and LOVED IT. I knew about it cuz I had played the 1st level in Siberia a dozen times because it was on a demo disc. ....aaaand that first level is hands down the best level BY FAR, for music, atmosphere, enemies placement, level design, graphics, Quest design, everything. The levels after the 1st one go from amazing to good, going super linear in super linear and small levels. Then they just become braindead running around and shooting enemies. Future perfect is a masterpiece. Timesplitters 2 is really good but really old and archaic. The 3rd one stands the test of time. I literally just finished the 3rd one a few days ago on my phone via Aethersx2 emulator (they run perfect at 3x the resolution. Only the hardware acceleration tanks performance as it shows the minimal, cameras and computers). So since Ive never played the 2nd one besides the demo, I went ahead and finished the 2nd one as well. I'd say timesplitters 2 is a strong 8/10 while timesplitters future perfect is a 9.5/10.
I remember being a little upset during the ending of 2 when I first played it. I loved the surprise nod and smile in FP though. God that level was a twat to Platinum though :p
6 years later, but all I want to say is that I didn't even know Corporal Hart even died because I played this game co-op. I thought she just got hurt and that's it because she's player 2. Lol

And also it peaks at the first level and never gets close that quality, instead it falls down HARD. It's just consistently amazing. @kato093 I disagree. I've spent many hours with my friends playing 2s arcade mode. To me, that's what I remember most of both games. Future's story mode is a lot better than 2s, but when it comes to multi player 2 is the one I play. I've also completed more of that game than Future
this game is overrated the only decent mission was the 1st, which takes from a far better fps in goldeneye. def not as bad as the 1st one which was barebones but nothing on part 3 which is 1000% better.
Not overrated at all, take your rose tinted glasses off, TS2 was huge improvement over the 1st game and not everybody has never even played Goldeneye before after playing TS
Let's have a timed mission, with no directions, stationary guns and monsters that spawn behind you. Beyond infuriating.
