As an MD Fan imma say this. Sticky Situation has definitely got MD on their toes now. I gave y'all hell last year about your tuning but that has improved drastically this year. MD got this one but, Sticky is not far behind. You guys will be are a FORCE now. Keep choppin!!
They got crushed what are you watching and listening to? If you said they’ve gotten better I would agree as they are moving in the right direction. Around 10 years away
LOL Sticky is so far behind MD. They didn't play with any confidence and the tenor drums were there just to be there. They had no presence. They also need to tune their snares a little higher. It's the little things that separates them from MD. They are the standard that Sticky is trying to reach.
@@arfshesaid4325 Most 14” diameter snare drums sound good with a fundamental pitch in the range of 3E to 3A#. When you tune your snare down a few pitches it can interfere with the tonals. Sticky's tonals were hard to hear because the snares pitch was tuned too low. It's all a matter of preference of how you want your section to sound but in my opinion they would've stuck out more of the were tuned slightly higher.
@@arfshesaid4325tighter sound and crisp to tell what’s being played off the head lol can’t stand heads that aren’t tuned correctly because it hides the dirt
Good clean sticking guys, no over playing. Excellent Bass runs. thoroughly enjoyed the playing. There are some other drums lines that's well known need to listen to you all work.
My god, I would love to see MD in DCI. They can shake up anyone at anytime at any place. But Sticky gonna go far man. Really love what I've seen and heard so far.
Bruh ain’t nobody touching Norfolk percussion section period. Hampton you did aight but it’s like a band going against southern it’s just another league lol
MDFS is going to rip you apart with DCI Corp style cadence. Clean and precise percussions. They've never used a whole lot of sticking to impress anybody but pure percussionist and they know the difference between AT&T, BCU and then theres NSU.
fyi that's because Sticky wouldn't stop playing. They would start a cadence, end it and then start another a few seconds later, stop and then start again. That wasn't the agreed upon format so they left.
Both drum lines agreed to play back and forth, but with NSU playing their selections in a block format, Hampton played their return pieces. There was no foul play on either side.
Man Sticky was in a sticky situation and was getting crushed either way plus MD never disrespects anyone. The mitts or finger and such was just uncalled forn
MD is...well MD. You know what to expect. Hampton line has come A LONG way I'm excited for them
Well said
NSU's basses sound so good

Sticky showed up to play for sure but almost everytime I hear MDF$ play it's so satisfying to my ears just in my opinion but great job both lines 👏🏾👏🏾
MDF ain’t no joke! 🔥🔥
That was a dope battle. It was very hard for me to pick a winner. Great job to both schools 💯 y’all both did a outstanding job
I never realized that they have short sleeve uniforms. That’s hard! Anyone that has marched can appreciate that

Man, 1st round NSU ALL DAY! Omg, their percussionist and bass players had that shit together. Dont forget about the high hat. Fuckkkkkkk

Maybe it’s because when HU gave MD the bird 🖕🏽 @ 11:50 they decided they were done here. No dap ups needed. 😂
