James, this is your best podcast by a country mile. More guys like this need to be on. The ‘Gangsters’ and hardmen podcasts won’t ever reach the levels of this one. Guy pours his heart and soul into this. So open and brutally honest in how much he loved the army and still does but also with how much he’s hurting, suffering, struggling to cope! Such a great podcast this one!!

This guy is a fine example of dedication to the cause. Since 16 y.o. the army moulded him into, almost, perfection in his role and now they won't give him the support that he deserves on Civvy St.
We all get to live one lifetime on this planet and he deserves for the remainder of his life to be as 'normal' as possible.
I truly hope that things work out better for him and his wife and that his business ventures bear fruit moving forwards...

Mr. Harrison is not vile at all. At a spiritual level we all have 4 guardian angels, 2 of whom give encouraging messages, 2 of whom give discouraging messages such as "being vile": they are mood setters. How, why? Our souls are on journeys from involution to evolution: our mindset can sway depending on what we think and what we allow ourselves to believe. Collective prayer will help him..

It feels inspiring to know that someone so physically strong, worldly and what we consider to be in peak condition and success, can struggle so hard, as much as an average Joe. The blanket of depression doesn't discriminate whether it be me a work from home mother of four trying to do my very best, or a solider trying to do his very best.
It’s takes a massive toll on your mental health. I served in Afghanistan in 2008 & 2009 2nd Battalion Mercian Regiment, under 42 Commando, Herrick 12 & 13. And coming back off tour to civvy life just takes it out of you.

As a Vietnam vet. (said so you can guess my age) this has to be the hardest testimony I've ever watched. Anyone having gone thru this level of warfare is OWED by his country - BIG TIME! Oh, I pray that there would be someone to get thru to him that Christ died for him and Craig needs to KNOW - deep inside--- God does NOT consider him vile. May God bless Craig's recovery.

This man is an absolute living legend, I’ve never seen someone with so much pain in their eyes I feel for him listening to some of this gives me goosebumps
More of a man than most of us could ever hope to be. This is powerful
not really. no one forced him to join the army and kill. He's obviously haunted, but it's not surprising as it comes with the territory of killing. I wish him well in dealing with his struggles but he said if a war kicks off again he would be at the front of the queue so why pity him

Watched the whole interview and it felt like 10 minutes had passed. What an inspiration. Really hope he finds help and that the British army can start to help their veterans because it’s people like Mr Harrison that are truly selfless and deserve all the help in the world
This one was somewhere between an interview and a therapy session.
Good job James it must be hard to find a way to respond to some of these tough topics.

Seen this legend on the lad bible interview. One of the most egoless people I have heard talk. Power to him, if I could even be half as honest and up front about the stuff that is deep down in me..I'd be a proud man. He really puts thing's in perspective for me. Nice work James

Relayed the living with PTSD perfectly. Everyday you wake up, you get up your a winner. Most people glamorise war and their part in it but this man tells it like it is.

This man is an inspiration and you can literally see the torture in his eyes when he talks. The way he talks is very intense and scary, especially when he pauses and tears up. But at the same time he is also very inspirational and deserves happiness.
This has to be the most heart felt genuine interviews I’ve ever seen ! I’ve suffered with depression , for different reasons and the black duvet is spot on! The level of kindness and concern of others above his own struggles is just inspirational! What a truly incredible man! Thank you for your service Craig . WOW!The most powerful interview I’ve ever seen on the James English Channel, James stuttering chocking up and speechless. What a remarkable man Craig is hope he can overcome the demons and get his head right mental health issues are the worst.
My mental health stops me sleeping 🛌 so when Im struggling I put on podcasts just like this one n go to sleep to listen to people explain there problems that then helps me understand mine more. This man deserves the up most respect ✊🏼 💙 half the stuff this man says hits home! About being sad n not seeing an end to it, this is one of the best podcasts I’ve watched!

Wow, this is up there with the best James. Captivating viewing, this man is something special. So mild mannered but you can see the steel just by the eye contact. Real life struggles & pain. The part where he said he left with 16 & came back with 6 has to hit people deep inside & make you realise just what kind of stuff these soldiers see on a daily basis and then to be cast aside like a piece of used chewing gum back into the “real world” once they have served their time. He maybe doesn’t realise it as often as he should but i hope he takes timeout every so offen to reflect on all the lives he has saved & all the soldiers making their way that he helped pave the path for them. A true HERO! Rest up Craig & keep well x

Never ever have I been so choked up listening to a podcast, This guy is a hero in every sense of the word, someone that has been through so much and all he wants to do is help other people and stop their suffering. I honestly hope you find peace and go on to be happy sir. You are truly inspirational (as is your wife)
It's an absolute Shambles how he has been let down with the support he needs by the army and government. He is a proper bloke and I hope he can get to a place in future where he is happy and content. If there is a place I can donate towards his therapy I will happily give something back for the service he has given for our country and I'm sure many more would also contribute

What a powerful interview.... I normally have these on at work and listen whilst working, I got f all done on this one. Just sat back and took it all in... powerful story, powerful man. Great podcast, James and sincerely wish you all the best for the future, Craig.
I’ve commented a few times about how good your podcasts are but this is the best yet , I’ve led a very hard life and was brought up in care homes from being a week old and never felt love from anyone until meeting my wife and then having children , I learnt from a very young age that ( in my case ) if you cried or showed pain they hurt you even more so I never did , but all the way through this interview I had a lump in my throat and tears running down my cheeks , I just wanted to reach out and put my arms around him , such a humble man I would love to meet this guy , great work James

I was a former member of the Det and have recently been diagnosed with PTSD. I fully understand the struggle. Tremendous respect Craig for sharing your feelings online. It took me years just to seek help. Your not alone brother.

The fact that your have come onto an interview and spoken about your inner struggles, shows what a character you have, James is right. Your face lights up talking about looking out for your lads, also Tanya, she sounds like a real Gem.
I have sat again watching this with total admiration. At times I laughed but others I had tears rolling down my face.
My Gran wrote a poem for me when I had troubles, one line still sticks with me, "remember the sunshine will always follow the rain."

i am fairly new to podcasts but this man has some great guests. The country owes Craig a huge amount of gratitude. To see somebody so humble is amazing. Part 2 needed
His plea on contemplating suicide is heart wrenching yet a story untold by many. Craig's story is hauntingly beautiful. What an inspiration.
Thanks for sharing this one, I've read Craig's book and have followed snipers over time, I could related very much to his emotional triggers (watching things on tv) As a person myself who had a brain haemorrhage so have a brain injury (but I'm doing fine after my 2 open brain surgeries.) I also have that anger and am a different person now, This one was great, I hope Craig can find that inner peace.
My god. One my best podcasts of all time. What strength, super strength in fact. Even in his suffering he just takes it all on his shoulders. No drugs, no drink, no moaning. Truly inspiring. That is the best interview you’ve done James. You have interviewed people from all walks of life but this one is absolutely gripping from start to finish. Not only that, it’s not just his story (which is incredible in its own right) but the way it’s conveyed and it comes straight into the room you’re watching from, the sadness in that man’s eyes in some sequences is truly shocking that a hero made by our armed forces has then been hung out to dry and shat on from a great height. Shame on them. Powerful stuff indeed.

Just incredible. For that big man to come on be so open about depression an his struggles, really hit me hard,no ashamed to say a tear was shed,there are different levels of depression,but the only only one that truly matters is the personal level you may be going through.

I,Ve just watched the interview and having and still fight depression I was crying. Like Craig I,m a big guy and a ex patch wearing biker and just asking for help is the hardest part but it gets you started. That was the most inspiring interview I have ever watch and the man is a credit to himself. A truely inspiring person who like myself has his battles with the black dog. Yes he and many veterans are completley let down by the country they serves.Please pass on bestrong big man and keep fighting.Your wife Tanya is one hell of a lady mate you certainly landed a keeper there.

Craig, I can relate to things you have said re depression, feeling sad, suicidal etc, yet have not been through or seen anything on the scale you have witnessed.
Right near the end when you mentioned that you hate seeing people struggling and want to take that away as you hate seeing people suffering, I truly get that.
Just walking amongst people you can feel their very pain without words being spoken.
I salute you and Tanya, you both have amazing strength and not forgetting Betsy.

Stumbled upon this by just trawling through Utube for something to watch whilst my car was being serviced. Couldn’t stop watching. Has opened my eyes of the plight of PTSD and depression by the honesty and candid replies of this solid hero. My heart goes out to his and his wife’s continued struggles in the hope that he finds himself again and can live in peace. This is why I watch this channel. Best & the most difficult chat I’ve seen you have with anyone. Maybe ever will.
It's good to get people on who talk about mental health issues......especially ex military personnel as it may help others struggling with the same to muster the courage to get help. PTSD is more severe than people realise.
One of the finest interviews I've ever listened to. The interviewer for me is perfect interviewer enough talk to get Craig talking, but little enough to let the interview flow perfectly. Craig though…what a guy, one of those guys that you would just love to sit to listen to.
Craig is an inspiration. Not many share his life journey but a lifetime of sadness is relatable. Such a strong man, physically, mentally and emotionally.
I suffered from serious depression for many years, and listening to Craig is so sad. The feeling of hopelessness, of these short windows of happiness just to be pulled back down. Of missing your true self. I truly hope he finds the help he needs and deserves, and starts seeing things a bit brighter. Day by day.
