Man I've been looking for this for a minute. I had forgotten the title and who put it out. That's how it is when you're looking for bootlegs. Thanks for posting.
the flip side is grandmaster flash and the furious 5,recorded live @bronx river jam. classic material. originally recorded on cassette. dates back to before the first hip hop record was ever made.2 label 1-red and - 1-aqua
Izicataa Richardson It was called "Down Stairs Records" but you had to go upstairs for the records, lol. My friends and I used to joke about that. Another spot was Down Town Records.
Big ups to anyone that can post the original Fusion Beats that had Frisco Disco, Shangri-la(...paradise is very nice) a snipet of the Wizard of OZ ("Going So Soon") amongst other things on it.
i wish somebody would make shit like this available in an mp3 format. this is what the digital game is missin. if anyone out there knows where i can locate oldschool like this and songs like 'girls' by the b-boys on mp3, scream at the boy.
Beat Street???? I bought this when there was no Beat Street on Fulton Street! Try The Music Factory or Downstairs Records in The City!!! 1982... Definitely a green label first. Bozo Meko still..
Michael Byrd Down Stairs Records was always hollowed ground but Beat Street started selling bootlegs like this also. I picked up some classic bootlegs from there. I lived in Brooklyn so it worked out perfect for me. Scoop up some bootlegs and mix tapes at the same time
Thanks fo the info, if u know more details please respond. I could only post whats was written on the label, bought it in 99" in Beat Street records in Brooklyn....
