Hands down, one of the most personable, down to earth, cute, hilarious, seemingly approachable people in his profession that I've ever had the pleasure of watching. He was quite a gem, and I just loved him so much ❤ Still not over the loss, it's been tough for everyone.
My heart wants to hold onto his sign-off at the end. Eloquent, charming, funny and soft spoken. I believe this was his true persona, particularly to those who knew him. And to the many who didn't know him personally, he had a talent for making it seem as though we weren't kept at a distance. As fans, he took us in; let us in on the humor and the journey. We were all closer than even we knew, making his passing such a difficult one to face. What an amazing gentleman. May his light shine among the stars forever.
❤ For years, I was only familiar with his greatest hits. After the news of his passing, I watched the Blackstar- and Lazarus-video. Those took my breath away, so I started listening to all his albums and watching video's. And I found out I LOVE this man. What the hell had I been listening to all these years?! Why didn't I appreciate him earlier? Biggest regret ever. Never seen him live. 😢
+Madeline Skaliks It is where I hid for the first month or so after he left us, I felt like I was in a bubble, fragile but still participating. I called it my Bowie Bubble.
David Bowie is so amazing, I love his music. I have ! loved him since I have been 13,an I am now 42.H e stole my heart from the second I laid eyes on him an heard his voice😍.
Everytime I see David, my heart swells up with absolutely nothing other than joy and happiness and I get butterflies and i cant stop smiling...please send help...
+Palo Prime My favorite part! I have had some difficult times recently and needed that laugh!! I laughed loudly with tears for quite a while; had to re-play it. Love the British "humour". He had the timing down perfect, didn't he? Better than Monty Python.
Atlas King Right! btw, it was a Requiem (listen to the intro) to the Laughing Man. fyi, a Requiem is for the dead. So, a tribute to the man who died laughing. And, the Indian tribe? I wonder what the hidden meaning is on that one? Anyone know what that tribe represents or if it is real? He has so much hidden meaning in his jokes.
Thanks for these two lovely tributes. The first single I ever bought was Starman a long long time ago and I first saw him on tour in '73 what a loss. Thanks again for showing everyone how wonderful he was (is, for eternity! ) ♡
I'm very grateful for these compilations; being in the US & not into television when I was young, I never realized he was so hilarious! And kind & generous, as well as deeply & widely insightful (the funniest people are all of those, imo, at least most of the time). Somehow, I can't bring myself to think 'Rest In Peace' about Bowie. More like, 'Shine Forever, Star Man (Waiting In The Sky)'. If only such men as you owned the world, instead of the biggest and greediest dickheads.
Cool Jazz, thanks so much, it is now six months since his passing, and I know it happens to us all, but really he is missed, as he was just a wonderful unique talent and package.
The whole video is so amazing and look at 16:53 Ziggy Stardust time 1973!!! Hmmmh I still love him but at this time I wish I were older and could see him with his red hair live and much more
"FAME- ribadibadoobadabadoobadabadoobadeee... sane"
why can't i stop replaying this

He was truly special.
4 months later and I'm still struggling to believe he's gone :(
He was so cute when he sang 1984 -- adorably shy.
