The third issue is that he had been with the mistress for an extended period of time before she found out. The fourth issue is exactly as the wife said which is that he made it clear that he didn't want their kid before she was even born. Even though it would be nice for a child to have both parents in their life, a child does not need a parent who is a liar, a manipulator, a deceiver, a cheater, and a parent who didn't even want her to begin with. Because ultimately, he will have to look at that child and answer the question of why mommy and daddy aren't together anymore and the answer is going to crush her.

I would say maybe older generation and much more less educated people sees women as inferior but the younger generation is different moreover like anywhere in the world women don't let anyone treat them that way either. So it is not entirely true but in some aspects yes.
Although, movies are mostly fictional, still, there are some that are based on real events. Sometimes too, a movie could be made to tell a story relating to a foreign area or another country. But, as I have generally observed from some of the movies I've seen, they are also, to some extent, greatly influenced by the cultural backdround of a country. For the past 5 years or more, about 95% of the movies I watch are Asian with Korean and Chinese topping the list. This is because, I love them so much. Now one thing I've observed and really don't like in their movies is how brazenly they cheat on their partners or spouses with the greatest boldness and no atom of remorse at all. They do it as though it is their God-given birthright to do so. And wanting the innocent party to never complain and just accept what has hapoened in good faith and even to thank them. Haba! Now, when they do, they even expect faithfulness from each other. This is insane. I have always wanted to ask, is this the norm in these countries? I'm not saying that people from other counries don't cheat. Yes, they do too. But, in this case, what gets to me the most is the attitude of those who cheat.
Hi, I'm really glad you mentioned the obnoxious attitude of the cheating person (male or female) in these drama series. I'm Australian, and as soon as I see this, it turns me off the show instantly. I wish the script writers could avoid writing it into the plot so much. I watch drama to relax and have a laugh not to be anxious for the FL. 😅🤗
Why is co-parenting so hard in these stories? It's like, if the relationship between adults end, the relationship with the children is severed as well! Sad

I have not seen this series, not do I want to really, but having said that, why is that woman being vilified on the comments? He said, he was the one who pursued her. Do we know if she knew he was married before he began pursuing her? if not, how is her fault once she finds out and she's fully committed? And home wrecker? it's evident that what they had was already broken. No marriage breaks if things are going well and they are a loving couple, again something that obviously they weren't (even the daughter had the mother's surname, not the father). We women are our worst enemy. Put the blame where the fault is... that excuse of a man. Period.

@storbeck2238 children are property especially sons, in China there's the "one child law" that was current as of 2015, only 1 child per family, the law was changed to 2 children allowed in 2015. if you divorce you can't just go having another child without paying huge fines, plus all unauthorized children are not entitled to: school, medical care, college, work permits, ID Cards, passports, etc

That child does not deserve to have a parent that was willing to break up a home for a selfish reason.
