I'm so happy your reacting to Taemin, this song is a masterpiece just like the entire album that I've had on repeat😂. He's my Shinee bias(followed by Key who also has banger music) and he didn't disappoint.
I love Taemin, definitely will be doing more cause he’s one of my favorite artists and the way he thinks and portrays a message is so interesting to me. I’ve heard a few Shinee things but I actually haven’t checked out much from them outside of TH-cam either so maybe will be doing some 👌🏼👀
After watching your Stray Kids video, I scrolled through your entire history searching for my ULT group, SHINee. I’d love to watch a deep dive reaction to them…especially since practically all the people you like look up to them and you already love Taemin. Did you also know they’re the only group in which every member has hit number 1 on Worldwide iTunes as soloists? All Five members are exceptional alone…and out of this world together. Their harmonies…holy moly, talk about ear-gasms!!! I’d be hard pressed to recommend only three songs, considering their over sixteen year career of both Korean and Japanese discography (and you cannot leave out their Japanese stuff-it’s truly incredible). You would HAVE to include the most successful and covered debut song of all time: “Replay”. Their latest release would be their eighth full Korean album, HARD (title track of the same name), which I feel you’ll love since it heavily features piano (did you know Taemin is an accomplished pianist and has been playing since he was a child?). As for choosing a song in between those two, I couldn’t possibly. I don’t feel like you could make a wrong choice, though. I haven’t found a song of theirs yet that I don’t love.
Although the title seems "cringy", the lyrics are most definitely not. They have a lesson to share that many miss because they don't bother with the seriousness of those lyrics. What is Taemin's "rizz?" It's the fact that he will rise above the ridiculousness of this world and stay true to himself. According to how I read the lyrics, it's my opinion that Taemin may also think the word "rizz" is ridiculous, and he uses it to demonstrate emblematic it is of the world today where we hide ourselves behind masks and fake words, giving ourselves a false sense of bravado & charisma while exploiting and "holding onto each others' weaknesses" via social media. To those participating in this "game" of exposing each other, making false claims, and name-calling it creates, is to elevate oneself all the while creating emotional "pain, pain, pain" and suffering to others. The "crowd" piles on the victims like a feeding frenzy, pushing them out (exposed, threatens their livelihoods & safety, etc.) causing the victims to "fall over (capitulate) easily". What exactly, Taemin asks, "is the gain, gain, gain" to all of this? Meanwhile Taemin is hovering above all that chaos looking down and watching it all play out; "the reality of words all distorted". The "whispers" (rumors) on the internet "hide the truth." They will "grow" and destroy people's lives. Those who participate in this practice are all the "same, same, same" doing it just for the fun of it because it's all "fabricated games, games, games" to them. Taemin wants no part of it. It hits too close to home for him. He concludes with: Yeah, so many words, Dizzy and disordered (Alright). Don’t really care. Everything’s so ridiculous. Yeah, I’m not interested In such a good lie. I’ll only listen closer To my heart To bad those who play these games, games, games didn't stop to think, "what if this happens to me?" Will you still think it's a "game" then?
I LOVE Taemin and i can watch his dances and performances all day long. He fascinates me!
