Great video, Carlton one thing to note not every virtual office provider report to credit bureaus also not every provider lists your phone number and business address, and the 411 registry which is paramount when obtaining business credit
I thought about establishing a Virtual LLC Address, looked at the pros and cons, and I decided to use a real, physical address, which is my well-secured Condo out here in LA, instead. I feel it will make it seem more legit and professional! If I need a Virtual Address provider, then I will!
I wanted to add if you reside in a different state from your LLC, you’ll need a brick and mortar location. I tried opening Chase business account in that state but since my primary residence was out of state, they denied me. I did regus ipostal they looked the addresses up ( I went in branch). They refuse virtual addresses. I had two options brick n mortar or file as foreign LLC

In the state of Illinois it is required to use a physical address… they stopped allowing virtual addresses. So I guess I have no choice but to use my home address 😢

I did have Tailor Brands help me set this up, they may have offered that I buy a virtual address, somehow I cannot remember if they did. I filed my sales tax permit from the state of South Carolina, have a physical address from South Carolina and I was curious what all necessary things that I’ll have to do in case if I move my Online retail store from SC to other state. I don’t want to file for foreign LLC as I’ll have to pay taxes on both states nor I don’t want to dissolve the existing LLC, fearing of a gap of not having the business running and might have a huge impact on customer relation and order fulfillment. I hope I can register in other state without having to reset everything including my business bank account.

This is true but not entirely. As someone who is in government contracting I can say that you can have a virtual address but depending on the service you use, you will need to able to get a lease agreement that you can show as “proof of residency”. It’s not exactly that simple but it can be done whilst being compliant.

Google will not allow you to use virtual addresses unless at least one employee is physically at that address during business hours. I looked into this because my home, for my home based business is about 10 miles or so on the outskirts of the area I service, (home appliance repair). I was trying to get my business address in the middle of my service area to get better results on a Google search. If I change my address, I'll have to reverify my address again, which ended being me having a video conference showing them my "store front" which was my home, but that won't work for a virtual address.
I don't have my business address listed on google. Although I bought my virtual address after the fact (LLC was originally at my home address) I still never listed the address with google. I only have a service area selected. You don't really need to change it again, maybe expand your service area? My business is a mobile business as well (a mobile notary business). I do not have a store front.

Idk the rules and regulations in other states but in ga your original business formation stays there so if you would have listed your home address it would stay in that public file of business history but then it would show you did an amendment to a new address such as a virtual. Even if your were to terminate an LLC it stays in the system for public viewing for 5 years. That’s if you wanted to close that registration and start a new with the correct way of doing things. They do have a status correction of some sort that could work in this situation but it’s a good thing you waited
Yes you can list yourself as the registered agent but it’s best to also stay anonymous or private. Register in another state that’s anonymous then register in your state . Use a virtual address for both.

If your business is registered in your town, doesn't your virtual address have to match the town? Meaning, if my registered place of business is in Hartford, CT, my physical "virtual address" must be in Hartford, CT. Otherwise I have to register my business in the town my virtual address is in.

It's best because the LLC paperwork will have the area where it will ask you for your business/principle address. It may get rejected if you skip that part. Get the address established first.

Why would a virtual report to the credit Bureaus? That’s not what a virtual office does for your business
