I did the same thing to my new (to me) 273. Its oil was pure gunk. I actually put about a quart of clean oil in it and spun it by hand for a while, then drained it again. Then I filled it up with fresh oil. I feel better. Not sure if the 273 cared on way or the other.
Is that a 270 ? Thats a good machine. The toung is kinda junky and prown to crack. But over all pretty solid. Just read the title 269 is the same machine

Right. I'm sure it would have kept on going without missing a beat but I feel better about it.
