Stumbled on this series of videos and can’t give enough thanks for taking the time to put the series together. I’ve been using the APICS leaning system and this series of videos will be a fantastic compliment to my studies.
Thank you so much! Try my learning resources too and I am sure that you will find them way better than learning system when you will take the exam :) cscplearning.gumroad.com/l/otjhg cscplearning.gumroad.com/l/kqtuq
Hey, would you be able to clear the doubt on q.5 redesigning the product is a massive undertaking, involving each and every department might also take longer time and while training employees can also be done quickly through printing quality alerts or by just gathering all and showing them a video. I'm just trying to understand the concept. As always your videos are of a great help. Cheers.
Yeah even I thought the same. When you compare the costs of redesign and training a employee the latter feels like a good choice. Also this points out how there is a lack of foresight in the strategy of the firm turning around to fix a issue after being reported. Also the book itself pointed this out saying the downside of mass customization is not having trained employees. Not sure why he went with option D.
Can you please elaborate on Kitting in regard to packaging and logistics, design for logistics (utilization/containerization) and how they correlate (examples) to understand the concept? In the CSCP learning system, I am not seeing kitting. Thanks in advance!
In a Demand forecasting , the risk is that when orderes will begin to come in above capacity there will be expensive activity to run plant overtime ,faster transportation and all so to avoid happening that to prepare kitting which is preparing components in advance ..Groupin together in a "KIT". Having them available to assemble
Kitting is an inventory technique where individual, but related, products are packaged and shipped together as a single bundle. Kitting in logistics is the act of compiling multiple products into a single "kit" that is shipped to the customer. For example, if you've ever ordered multiple products on Amazon from different vendors, you've likely seen logistics kitting in action. The products are all collected by the shipping team and assembled into as few packages as possible before shipping. In the traditional model, each product would be shipped separately, and both the cost to the customer and the logistics company increase.
Just adding my 2 cents. Its a collection of parts. Like instead of just a bulb. There will be bulb + head light housing + reflectors as no vehicle with a front impact is going to replace the bulb only but the entire housing.
@@cscplearning1044 Are these questions still good for 5.0 exam and does the answers include explanation, because tests with no explanation available in less than 20$ on udemy, please respond, I also sent an email, need to decide on buying, have exam on 16th June

Q5 .. the listed answers are solutions for the problem rather than root causes. Only B can be a correct answer.
Great video. Are these actual questions which you got in your exam?
These are not the same but very similar to the ones I got in my exam.
