The first way was Mickey Mouse. Good luck with that on a road with a crown. Slide the fifth wheel back and roller guides catch the frame rails before it slips off sideways.
Isn't that track, along with the heads of those bolts going to be destroyed over time? I would think a plate over top the track would be suffice but maybe I am missing something. Or yeah, just slide the fifth wheel to the rear and avoid it riding on the track all together. Yep, that works.
Those aren’t very good ramps. I made my own set. I’d like to see that lift fully loaded triaxle weight with some ice on the ground. And that little area it sits on the truck will be a disaster when it slips off. I don’t have the range of motion in my 5th wheel not so I need and and not sure why you would either. I’ll try get time for a video of mine in the next couple days.
I'm guessing you will tear up your roller guide flanges and your fifth wheel slide locks. It sounds cool to slide plate every day to unload and may work in CA. But in snow and mud it isn't practical. I pull a 60 ton cozad.

Get the proper ramps guys. If your loaded heavy you just going to have a wreck. Or you just haul little popcorn loads
