I have not seen this movie 'Mammo' , but seen the reviews.. The lingering effects of Partition come vividly alive, in Shyam Benegal's..Mammo.. The movie is one of the finest works of Khalid Mhd and Shyam Benegal..Enacted beautifully by Farida Jalal in the role of Mammo...the pathetic story of a woman's life truncated by Partition... Soulful ghazal by Jagjitji and Gulzar saab, was very apt in reflecting the emotions of the storyline!.. Very few words of this ghazal but so deep and heart touching. Rendered soulfully by JS in his sonorous and dulcet voice...Touching the inner core of our heart and soul.!.. Thankful to Phalguni Dash ji, for sharing this wonderful track..
