- This is a video walkthrough / playthrough / runthrough / etc of the SNES game Nosferatu.
At first I wasn't expecting much from this game, but after playing it a bit, my mood towards it changed quite a bit. To me it feels like Prince of Persia meets Castlevania. That, and it's a whole lot better than Bram Stoker's Dracula (Of course, almost any game is...).
There are multiple paths to take in some areas, so obviously if some people don't want to take the route I did, they can feel free to obviously. Not sure if the route I took was the safest, but I did end up with quite a bit of life crystals, or whatever you want to call them. - เกม

Amazing. I really learned a thing or two (or ten) about how to play this well from watching you play.
They should of called this Chuck Norris against Dracula. Only Chuck Norris can hit a wall like that with his head and not be hurt or kick butt of a nosferatu and other creatures of the night with barehands. Either that or the main character was on Super Steroid.
This game was awesome and the gameplay to. I liked the atmostphere. I added this to my favorite.

This is kinda mixed up like Castlevania, Spatterhouse and the classic Prince of Persia, but I love the gameplay, a human protagonist like him can punch monsters with his barehands!
I'd like to think it's either Billy Lee or Jimmy Lee (whichever one wore blue) from the Double Dragon series rescuing his girlfriend...In that scenario, I could see someone going through the castles and whatnot just punching the crap out of everything... :P

I cannot seem to get through this game for the life of me. I've heard that this game requires patience, which is one aspect I do not have. I just play it because the protagonist in it is badass enough to fight monsters with his bare hands.
The time limit it gets very annoying, and most of the levels look pretty similar.

I love this game but I suck so badly at it. You've got skills, my man. SKILLS.
Helps to have played game like Prince of Persia to get jumping timing down and so forth ;)
It was quite a fun game, and it did take awhile in practice to learn how to deal with everything. An example being those flying tub of lard enemies. I thought you couldn't get past some of them without getting hit, but after trying every move on them, I discovered there was one that did stop them in their tracks.
But yeah, it took a bit of practice to get everything down.
I remember according to the instruction booklet, that if you continue too many times, the girl becomes a vampire. I think I figured out when too many was too many.
At the continue screen there's a picture of the couple. The picture of the girl eventually grows a set of vampire fangs after 5 or so continues; subtle, but there.
This badass just karate punched them Dracula-wanna-be and his dark army to death.

Fuck Master Chief, this guy punches fucking anything that comes to his path and finishes them off with a roundhouse kick. Seriously, you can't get more badarse than this dude right here. :p

SNESmusic.org, my friend. They have the soundtracks to pretty much every SNES game in existence.
this one might be a tool assisted video. the guy played the entire game flawlessly. this is one of the hardest games ever made to SNES
spiritual seccessor of prince of persia
Maybe its just me, but this style of gameplay reminds me of the original Prince of Persia & Out of this World.
I wouldn't quite say Out of this World. In that game, you had to do rather precise things or you die...Here, while there are spike pits and so forth, you are allowed to muck up a few times with enemies since you have a life bar of sorts..
After someone had pointed out that the character looks like Billy Lee (with the looks and the fact he uses punches and kicks), I would say this game is a mix of Double Dragon, Prince of Persia, and Castlevania....I mean, in the since you got Billy Lee going after Dracula while going through stages that look like they came from Prince of Persia... :P

Oh...This game is really something) Castlevania, Prince of Persia, Karateka - all in one. And the protagonist is real badass))) Melee weapons, guns, magic??? This is for loosers - real hero crash anyone by it bare hands))) Maybe this dude is Chuck Norris relative...Stil the game is exciting and hard, And music are atmospheric...sometimes)))

Sure. I had played this game many times, especially when I found out a friend of mine from college loved this one (so we would play it on my laptop together in the morning while we watched The Price is RIght before classes).
It'll be a little while though. I'm working on another game (which I'm going to try to attempt a video run today), and then I want to get a RPG out of the way. After that though, I suppose I could give it a whirl.

Huh. Y'know, I give respect to this game for somewhat creative mechanics, clear production values, and a hero who just beats monsters to death with his bare fists, but I gotta admit... I expected more of a climax.
Our main vampire turns into a bat, throws the hero around a little and then just falls over dead when he's punched enough times? Come on, if Castlevania taught us anything it's that confronting a vampire should be a big production! Let him grow giant, spit fire, raise Hell! And then he explodes into a million infernal pieces when you finally kill him! And then for good measure his castle disintegrates.
Hell, if I was a vampire I'd at least give a speech beforehand. "Well met, hero! What is humanity but an eternal mockery? I'll throw a wine glass at you, en garde!" That sort of thing. C'mon, Dracula shows us how it's done! But, geez... this Nosferatu guy just keels over. No stake or sunlight or decapitation required. That's just... man. That's just shameful.
Then again, maybe that was really his final revenge on the hero. Guy's gonna have to embellish the heck out of this story once he gets back to the village.
