I can understand that is was stressful for the first time. Just imagine how good you would be if you started cutting her hair 30 years ago. I have been giving my wife her haircuts since we first met, plus giving her two teen boys their haircuts since they were very young. From my experience, having given hundreds of haircuts, it gets easier with practice. My wife gets compliments on her hair all the time, and asked where we take the boys to get such nice haircuts. When salons were closed a couple years ago, I gave haircuts to friends of my wife on the deck. Her one friend had an overgrown pixie that I took off a good four inches, mostly with the clippers as she wanted her hair cut, boy short. She was pleased with the results and her husband said it was a better haircut than she got at the salon. If I didn’t have years of experience giving the boys their haircuts, I would probably not have done it. I had fun doing it, I enjoy doing the haircuts and seeing the smiles they have when they see the results. It is definitely a great money saving skill to learn. Glad your wife was happy with the results, she asked for quite a big change for the first time having you cut her hair.
