I think each artist played incredibly well but here's my personal ranking :
1st : Dragos Ilie
2nd : Hao Yang
3rd : Francisco Luis
4th : Leonela Alejandro
That was a very good year, lots of brillant musicians. Though i'm quite disappointed by the jury's decision concerning the results of this final round.
It would be interesting to hear some comments from them !

I admire dragos and hao jang ,but i am concidering the reason for the result ,dragos and hao jang are very good players .....but leonola she dont have so big tecnic but has artistic personality ,dragos note are very clear ,but without sold
The winner, Leonella, and 3rd place, Dragos seemed to have performed on the same guitar. His tone struck me as much fuller and, well, beatiful. Subjective ofc
Let’s face it, the decision is not going to affect anyone’s career, there are many, many who play equally well.
The grand prize is quite influential to the winner, so robbing the real winner is a big deal.

Amigos, esta es una celebración para la guitarra. Al final del día, solo unos pocos recibirán premios, pero ustedes pueden seguir la carrera del guitarrista que más les guste. Estoy feliz de que existan estos eventos que apoyan a guitarristas de todo el mundo, y pienso que la mejor forma de agradecer es disfrutándolos.
Leonela se adueñó del escenario, Hao fue electrizante, Dragos interesante, y Luis mostró una gran sensibilidad. Maravillosos guitarristas que nos regalaron una competencia de alto nivel. Disfruté de cada uno de ellos, incluso de aquellos que no pudieron avanzar. Estuvieron estupendos.

All these speeches at the beginning,sounded very nice, but then for you to ruin it with a completely dirty decision.
What is going on?! Is GFA decaying like everything else in the US? This is the first time I don't agree with the decision at GFA. Firstly, Tomasz didn't get to the finals which is ridiculous, secondly, given the finals that we have Dragos was better. "You have no ears! No eyes!"

The Maw piece, while impressive in length etc. is not the most likeable of pieces, as are many 20th and 21st century pieces written for the classical guitar...with the purpose of being 'serious' music...often rasguego-fuelled, referential, rhetorical and even ironic....the guitar responds better with love, IMHO.....with its limited dynamic range, when presented with large compositional canvases of sound the classical guitar can often 'lose' the listener...

all jokes aside, it's normal for people to have different opinions. what is not normal is to try bring the winner and jury down just because you don't agree with the result. Leonela deserves only congratulations for this huge accomplishment!

Notice, you are the only one who brought this nonsense rivalry between genders here with no reason what-so-ever. If you were to find people who spread this bs gender hate so YOU are the one. I understand it's quite comfy to make yourself a fake victim and complain everywhere you go with no reason. Clean your mind and stop using Instagram so much. Btw I see the exact opposite story... average female players get the recognition on YT because of their beautiful face but not the skills. This is totally disgusting and unfair towards real masters and even female players who are not that attractive and don't get the same recognition because of that. But this is a true reason to blame man who lie, praise mediocrity and seems like are ready to sell their own mother for a bit of attention from good looking woman. Not good, not good...
Contention with the first prize has nothing to do with her being a female, many women have won before without protest. The winner of GFA has been disputed almost every year (male or female) and regardless, everyone is allowed an opinion regardless of who it's towards or how ruthless it is. It's a public competition on a public forum. Now that the competition is live streamed, more people are able to voice that opinion however they want. There is a lot at stake with this competition as well (money spent, money won, prizes etc.) and unless you've experienced that, I can only see your take is fascist and idealist at best.
@@spaceboy9588 yeah so basically gfa season is treated like euro season where everyone who either plays football or not is allowed to express their opinion and throw hate online because the games are live streamed and suddenly everyone becomes an expert. it obviously happens, people sometimes lose sometimes win, but imagine if you were living your dream come true winning the gfa and people would try make you feel unworthy. be kind people. y'all didn't bet money on the competitors (i hope) so it's all good
