Hi. All my channels got perfect reception except the one showing rugby. It seems as if its draging/skipping( bot sure how to describe)
If every channel with the same frequency is running perfectly, the problem might be from the TV main transmission, which you can't do anything about it. But if the other channels on the same Frequency are dragging/skipping, adjust the satellite dish to get some additional signal Quality to make it stable.
I shave one question, I am trying to use my GOTv signal cable, since I don't have the DStv cable, can it work?
It will work, but the signal cable for DStv installation (RG - 59/U) is bigger than the signal cable that comes along for the Gotv installation ( RG - 58/ 6U).
* You have to carefully fix the F-Connector on each side of the cable. And make sure it's well fixed inside the LNB ports of the DStv decoder and the LNB.
* To make it easier get some few inches of the RG-59 cable ( the DStv Installation cable) cut it into 2 and join it at each end of the Gotv cable, fix the F-Connectors at each side and it will work perfectly. But you're likely to experience a reduced signal quality, it will still work anyway.
Im using UNIVERSAL LNB that came with it, but when I select UNIVERSAL in LNB type, I get no signal, but when I change it to UNICABLE, I get signal but its not playing. I changed a STRONG LNB too, still the same problem, I bought it and they programed everything at the office, I dont know if its because
Make sure you're having a stable signal more than 60% from the satellite dish. If you don't have a finder, use different decoder to check.
* Reset the DStv decoder to factory defaults and scan by selecting Universal LNB.

Signal is around 78%, I already reseted it to factory, but its still doing that.
At first it was doing that, so I left the DSTV and I set it to MBC, It was working perfect, now even the MBC is not working again after the reset.

Hi what is the problem with dstv, when I switch the TV on and the dstv than it shows no signal can it be because of the loadshedding
If the DStv decoder works with ( No signal ) on the screen, check the signal cable at the back of the Decoder. If you don't get the signal, let someone check the satellite dish for you.
* If the DStv decoder is unable to turn on. First plug it in a different power source to check.
I checked mine and there are small cuts how do I fix that

Me too im experiencing the same problem. I'm stuck on step 5 it says no signal
After going through the installation wizard and there is no signal, check your satellite dish....

Check if channel 100 is working. If it's working , it simple means you're out of subscription. If it's not working, check the name of the error that pops up on your screen. The error type will help you solve the problem easily.

I have 100% signal strength and 79%signal quality but not able to watch other channels
That channel is having a lower signal quality. When you put it on that unstable channel, you'll realize that the frequency is different and the signal quality percentage is having different figure. You'll need some small adjustment on the satellite dish to make it stable.
My signal strength is 79% but the quality is 8%, how do it on the satellite dish

Signal quality is 1%.... And my display is freezing
