How to get the perfect ringlet curls for dolls hair/How to curl Monster High doll hair

Hi everyone!!
I finally had the chance to show you all how I curl my dolls hair! Not sure if you will see this but how do you get the curlers to stay put? Looks like I have the same ones and no matter how tight I curl the hair or where the band is placed it completely unravels :(

I have a collectible porcelain doll who has ringlets, but they are a little raggedy looking. I don't know if I should try to comb and reshape them. (She could not be washed. She is too delicate.) Her hair seems to be a synthetic material. Do you have any tips on keeping ringlet curls in shape?
Also, what kind of camera do you use to make your videos?

I’m not too big of an expert on porcelain dolls as I don’t own any, but try and wet each ringlet and twist it on itself (like how I did when I started to use the gel) I would advise against dry combing with no moisture as it will make it very frizzy. You could also try detangling spray but you might sacrifice her ringlets.
