You're not the only one he got into wrestling. He also got me into wrestling in 2011.
If it is any consolation, I think they are going to make his last hurrah a memorable one including a title run so he can break Ric Flairs championship record. Wrestling although scripted is extremely physical and takes a toll on one's body. He's getting up there in age and is acknowledging the fact that a person can't compete at a high level forever. He's been winding down for a few years now and the writing was on the wall, better this way than to try and hold on too long and be remembered for being an embarrassment in the ring at the end like some others that were clearly crippled and held on too long. Sorry Terry Funk and Ric Flair fans, but as great as they were you know it's true.
I can’t take it. He’s my childhood hero, idol, inspiration but😢 Watching your reaction from Bangladesh 🇧🇩❤
Beautiful reaction❤
Cena and Rey and Bautista and Triple H Randy Orton my childhood
Do you need a hug? I gotchu!
I remember watching john cena around 2006 or 2007 but i stared watching wwe in late 2005 and TNA in late 2008
Still remembered when he debuted, crazy how time has flown by 😮💨😮💨
King of millions heart John Cena ❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The reaction is extremely genuine, I cried like hell , he's the reason I started watching WWE, m so proud of him though, he got to plan his farewell tour and end his career according to him.
@@madireacts could feel you as I became so sad, my day went being depressed, feels like, after him gone now , officially I have become an adult
Good bye 👋 legend 😢
He main evented my first ever live wrestlemainia i saw wm28
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Hi Madi! I wasn't too surprised but it's still bittersweet. I think he's going to The Hall of Fame next year.
At least we get January through December of Cena feuds with HHH booking them. Cena in 2025 is gonna be insane. Hopefully he does the opposite of what he says and has one more heel run to retire.
If he wins his seventeenth championship… I’m probably going to ball my eyes out. This was the wrestler I grew up watching. I didn’t think he’d ever retire but here we are.
I still have all my collectable posters from most of the wwe issues i collected in elementary school
Well he’s getting old. Can’t go forever. I been watching him since 02, so I got a couple more years of memories and experience. I think him retiring before 50 is a good idea.
Since I was a literal infant bruh this shhhh hurt
He's 47 remember, got a Hollywood career...bound to happen
And he's been talking for a few years that his end was coming near, not sure how this is shocking news to anyone. I think this is great for Cena fans since now we know we'll get him again for the better part of a year instead of just 1 off appearances like once a year.
I be lying if I didn't shed a tear when cena said he was retiring
As someone who been there to see his entire road to fame, when he does officially retire, it'll be an emotional experience to see.
I can't even imagine what will happen on the day that he last shows up as a in ring competitor. He's going to make the whole world cry😢.
This is a legit Cena video, cause i cant see him 😂
C.M. Punk's gonna make him GREAT.
The G.O.A.T.
a silver lining is he isn’t officially done til 2025 but the announcement alone overshadows everything else going on.
🇺🇲👍
I'm 25 years & I cried too.
I only started watching WWE again back in 2008 because of family issues.
My name is Shawn-Michael & when he retired 2010, Cena was there to help me get through my teenage years.
It doesn't help that WM is going to be here in Las Vegas & I'll never have enough money for tickets.
i don't understand how there are so many "reaction" videos to this with every acting surprised and emotional. Lets be real.. he retired a long time ago, he just shows up from time to time out of the blue.. Not big news
You _do_ realize there are literally thousands of people who grew up - from infancy, so this man's in their earliest memories - with Cena as the biggest star in WWE? The biggest face? Seemingly invincible, presenting a message of positivity _and_ was so consistently involved with his fans that there's a legitimate emotional connection with him? That he's spent his life doing incredible things for places like the Make-a-Wish foundation, with over 650 wishes granted? 650+ children who aren't gonna make it?
Even without all that, he got so many people into wrestling. He's the Hulk Hogan of the modern era and literally what Hulk Hogan pretended to be, dude. So yeah, these are in fact reaction videos. Surprised? Yeah. I can _easily_ see that, because even though he has not been around a ton since about 2018 he's still been there. Six straight years, never once announcing his retirement - it's fair to say that it came as a shock to a lot of people (you never expect people to get old, to leave in spite of the obviousness of it all). These are people who _love_ John Cena and they're allowed to be emotional over knowing that post-2025, they will never see him wrestle again. There's literally no need to be an asshole about it because the news didn't hit you the same way it did them, to be negative because people getting worked up makes you unhappy in some way.
I mean damn, my guy.
John Cena's not even my GOAT (that was Sting; although Cena is consistently a top ten favorite wrestler and his announcement was legitimately depressing) and I can see this. I know I'm coming across as a prick, but find something better to do with your time.
@@TheRavenholme Yeah I do, but you do realize the guy hasn't really been in the ring much for years.. And you do realize his money is Hollywood money now and this wasn't a shock... Whatsoever.. Now had he been full time and dropped this news that would have been big news.. But he's pretty much been "retired" from the ring about as much as the Deadman, The Rock and Stone Cold has been.. He's been done for awhile.
@@ryant3600 It doesn't change the impact of it, for people who's favorite wrestler - at 8 - was John Cena and who's favorite wrestler now, at like 24, is still John Cena.
@@TheRavenholme Not me. I was already well into my 20's when he debuted. But i always liked and had good feelings about him. I'm glad i got to see his entire rise during his time with the wwe. It's been a hell of a ride watching him go from rookie to the face of the company like he did.
I'm a grown man and I almost teared up. Been following Cena's career since 2002. Once he grew his hair out for his movie and TV roles, I knew his days in the ring were almost over, lol. On the bright side, he's in the middle of filmimg Peacemaker season 2 and I loved season 1.
