What a great man and father and story teller a legend the great Earl Henry Hamner Jr I can’t believe they are all gone now wow he left such a great legacy I love this show what a great religious loving family
I'm The Waltons and Earl Hamner's biggest fan. Right? Yes! and I know I'm in large company-- there are many, many of us! May we all meet in Heaven some day, and we'll give Earl a great, big Walton's Mountain hug. We love you, Earl. Among other fine things, you gave us The Waltons-- the best TV show ever made. Thank you.
I'm 62, I find myself channel surfing, looking for something wholesome to watch and when I come across the Waltons and it never fails to take me back to my own childhood, family and life. It brings great reflection and I long for the snippets of Earl's narrations and those presented by Richard as JohnBoy. 2024 who would have thought at my later years I would find peace and comfort in a 1970's series.
I love the waltons I still watch the reruns and I never get tired the Christmas episodes remind me of my childhood I wish that the new waltons will be the same
Thanks so much for uploading this! I've yet to be able to see The Storyteller! I love all of you and Earl! It's just extraordinary what one good and talented person can accomplish in the hearts and lives of others. Bless Walton's everywhere. You're all just the best! ❤
One of IF not the Greatest Show Yesterday, Today or Ever! Absolutely LOVED it ...... So much so I bout All 9 Seasons! Thank you, Earl and all of those that Made Waltons what it is!
I don't understand your saying he didn't write a lot of pages because he wrote so much. He wrote books, tv scripts, radio scripts, created TV shows. He was a gifted writer.
In 1982 I wrote Early Hamner a letter, and he personally wrote me a nice letter back. He clearly was a very kind man. I loved The Waltons because I felt all the characters had authenticity and real connection to each other. They never came across to me as the family morally above others in the commnity. Other such family drama shows always felt preachy to me, where stars of the show taught other morally corrupt characters right from wrong. The only characters I liked on LIttle House was Nellie and Willie Olsen; They seemed more real than the Ingells family, who always the morally superior characters of every episode.
That lady was June Foray, voice of Rocky the Flying Squirrel and Natasha Fatale on the Rocky and Bullwinkle TV series. Not sure what her connection with Earl Hamner was, however.
No offence to Richard Thomas he did a mighty job as John Boy. but I think the other actor who played John Boy looked more like Earl when he was in his 20s
Merci beaucoup pour l'histoire de Walton film avec Earl Hammer Jr.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Millions of blessings,

That scene in season 7 when Jason is playing his piano composition and Earl hammer speaks..... It's my absolute favourite.
I wish I'd've appreciated what occurred 10-odd years ago more at the time... my love always to y'all, and I of course most especially to...
The Waltons makes me proud of America and I'm not even American. Marvellous man Mr. Hamner.
Happy Birthday 🥳🎈
I wish I could get one of the shirts people were wearing at the end of the video.. I would wear it proudly!!
He didn't write a lot of pages, but what he did write has influenced me for almost 50 years, and does so to this day!
He wrote a lifetime!

@@jackieeasterwood3001 I was thinking of his novellas, but you are right!
After The Waltons ended, Earl Hamner completely switched gears and produced the soap opera Falcon Crest as his next project.
Bravo!!
