Becky, please do a video on bug control for your horses. Like how you keep them comfortable from pests. I'm in Minnesota and last summer our bugs were horrible. Doesn't help that I'm surrounded by woods. I just feel bad for the horses and it's a constant battle.
Ur videos have improved so much and I'm addicted to ur channel. I'm only 14 and want to start a homestead when I'm older but little acerage costs millions of dollars where I live. Sad life...
All your babies are adorable! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
best video yet, all the different scenes and seeing you hold the camera selfie style is great. been following you for few years now. keep up the good work :)
Beautiful and healthy animals. I feed our older horses soaked alfalfa cubes plus senior feed. But it is amazing how a couple of handfuls turns into a bucket full. lol
I am so jealous of her with all her animals!! Would love to be her friend so I can come over and enjoy them as well.Sadly my house has a very small yard only for dog and some chickens. God Bless her for all the care and love she provides to her animals.👏🏼🙏🏼😍
Great video, thank you. I separate my 3 horses at feeding time too. Great tip about the diatomaceous earth for worming. I buy good quality hay too and also go through a bail a day. They are easy keepers so they only need a balancer and I use enrich by purina. They do get a few a few Suppliments, one horse needs help for his joints and another gets senior support.
I love you soooooooo much when I'm older I want to build my own homestead and raise my own live stock and I watch your videos very day and I learn something new
I've seen your hoof care videos and your horses feet are meticulously kept! Also, you have a nice, dry paddock for your horses and that is key to avoiding ailments, like thrush.
That is a lot of horses to take in. A wise old man told me years ago "don't collect horses" he was spot on. To many people collect them and then can't keep up on the work and expense that is involved. Also they don't have the time it takes to train them well to be safe and have manners. ☀️❤️☀️
Becky I just discovered you & I love you & your channel! You're so inspirational! You've helped a lot with the process of budgeting for my first horse! :)
Please do a film on 'raising horses'. All of your animals are well cared for and properly. Referencing back to living simple. I don't blame you for part time at an employer. Kurtis
My little mare is on pink powder (aids digestion) oestress (help with moodiness), calm and condition (for weight gain without fizziness) and molasses free chaff and good quality hay And she’s an eventing pony

Where I ride the horse had recently had a visit from the farrier. She would not lift her back left hoof to be cleaned before riding. The owner still let me ride her. I later got upset because I felt she must have been in pain. What do you think was wrong?
I give mine alfalfa ant Timothy cubes (soaked) 2 get minerals with it but my seinor horse gets a low sugar seinor feed in the alfalfa with rice bran and no minerals, there's minerals in the feed. I separate my older girl from the other 2 ( Hanovarian and a mini ) it works great because the mini eats slow and my Hanovarian polishes her's of and eats the rest of the mini's, the mini only gets about 1 or 2 cups, 'maybe' lol I get 4x5 round bales for 45.00 each and a bale last 2 to 3 weeks depending how cold it is. Cheep cheep cheep 😉 average price per horse is 50.00 to 60.00 per month 😉
But how do u dried sylage qube didnot undrstnd, dos it company propitory product or small maufacturer produced, plz clarify at next video.. Thank u for nice presentatipn
My horses get fed twice a day they get oats Alfa chaf and Alfa pellets and they get one garlic clove and bran and sugar beat and loads of water to mix it in
Hi Becky, I know this video is pretty old, but I am getting 2 horses soon, and was wondering how many times a day you feed your horses? Thank you so much! PS: I love your videos:)
Becky, I don't see where to look or get the two items you mentioned for my animals. Dewormer and something else. I am so glad we bumped into one of your videos a year ago. I have grown fawn of you. You are inspiring and even when your upset you take things well. Like the time you asked your son to repeat what he said for all of us to hear and he refused to. He made you do it yourself. You were calm and collected and I wish I was more like that. I would have came unglued on video. You are wonderful. I really would like to check out those items you offered. I want the wormer stuff for my hens. Would it work for cattle too.
HI Becky, I have a chicken question (actually 2) but don't know which video to attach it to, so here goes! I look for videos that will answer my questions so I don't add work to your busy day, but so far, haven't found the answer to these questions: 1) My neighbor that shares MY chicken coop - I built it for $400 and the property line was assessed to reveal an error; my coop is on the new owners property, not mine (I rent for YEARS, lovely landlords...) . Argh! We agreed to share the coop instead of tearing it down. So far, all is well, but the neighbor thinks the diatomaceous earth is not good for chickens/animals (???). I have not found any serious information to tell me that it is not good for the chicks. The eggs totally have poop on them so...I want to follow your directions (I have chickens in the coop too!). So, I'm asking you if you know anything negative about Diatomaceous earth for chickens. Question #2): Coop partner brought a big bag of shell calcium bits. Do the chickie babies need grit AS WELL? Or is the shell calcium (which is very gritty and hard and sometimes even sharp - bits of oyster shells..) enough to help them digest properly? Thanks so much for all you do! Love the channel!
First, I have used DE for years and years on ALL my animals, never, ever the slightest problem. Worms are very damaging to any animal. Just mix some DE into "your" bag of chicken food. When you get a new 50 pound bag, add a cup of DE and mix it through reaching down as far as you can. Mix it in well. Then your chickens are all set. As far as the crushed oyster shells go, it is a good thing and all the chickens should have access to it at all times. ☀️❤️☀️
Thank you so much, but are the oyster shells alone, enough, or do I ALSO need "grit", that was my question. And again, thanks so much, you are the wise mama of this amazing style of living!
Is that all you feed a day? Because I am wanting to get a horse I haven't had one since I was younger. When I get older I plan to homestead and make a little money. I am only 11 days from becoming 14. I haven't had horses since I was about 7ish.
the earth I use for my garden too, the gold (minerals) I will try both, but how do you worm them with this stuff? Put it in their feed? Also DUMB QUESTION, do you vaccinate?
Becky, what do you pay for a square bale of grass hay? Do the 3 horses share one bale per day? I have a horse and a mini. They get grass hay, alfalfa pellets, loose mineral and mineral blocks. They cost me about $100/ month for the 2 of them for feed.
I'm kind of curious where you guys are getting hay for it to be $100 a month because for me to get just grass hay it's $5 for a small bail and can go up from there
You look so good! :-) I'm a new suburban homesteader on 3 acres. Looking into getting chickens...my 4 young kids will learn SO much! I have also started learning to do batch hot composting...to one day use in gardening. Have you done any composting? I haven't seen anything on your farm??? Horses are out of the budget for us right now :-(
Here we have all kinds of horse pellets. Low in Sugar, for ponys, working horses, competition etc. So much easier and you just buy what you need. How much does a bale of hay cost where you live? Horse food isn't expensive here so there's no way I spend 100 dollars (or euros) a month on one animal. F.i. 40 pounds of pellets cost about a tenner, and that's the expensive one.
When I was in my uncle's farm in Mexico, he used to feed corn to his 2 donkeys and his horse, now that I've learned about equines, I find that that's not whar an equine should eat. And by the way, do you let youe equines eat the fresh grass or you only give them the hay the oats and alfalfa?
Equines can eat whole corn, but most don't need the calories. Mine do eat the grass. Donkeys and mules are dessert animals so too much grass is not that good for them because they will get too fat. Thunder is a Haflinger pony so he also gets fat easy. ☀️❤️☀️
Becky, I think you do a fabulous job of explaining things. Excellent teacher. I love your “regular gal” style. Can I say just one picky little thing, being the animal lover I am: God created animals “male and female”, he/she, like us humans. I wish people would not refer to them as “it”. Like they’re a thing, a rock, a tree, with no feelings and emotional as well as physical needs like us. I know you love your animals and it shows, but I’m thinking of those who don’t treat animals with care, who already treat them as if they’re nothing more than an “it” that they can abuse. Thought I give it a share, since you have many followers and influence.
Horses could also confuse twine or "string" for hay and they could eat it, and it won't digest because if the material it is made out of, and they will colic which is a stomachache but they will roll to try to relive the pain and there organs will twist and they will suffocate and die basically. There is surgery but it is expensive and it will save the horse but a majority of horses are out down because it is a cheaper solution but sad. But it is all the person's fault because they didn't cut the twine.
Does anyone have experience using diatomaceous earth? We have been thinking about using it for our horses and barn cats. But the packages at the farm store say it has harmful fumes? Any thoughts?
EXCELLENT video by the way!!! alot of people who want a horse, rush out and buy one or two and have absolutely NO IDEA how much it costs to feed, health maintenance, grooming, etc, and like you said veterinarian bills can add up quickly. Thanks for posting this for people that are considering getting a horse and educating them on the REAL cost/costs of equine ownership. The purchase cost of any equine is just the beginning
Very true, training is the most time consuming and the most important part that nobody considers. Hospital bills are very expensive too. That "free" horse can turn into a huge problem fast. People need the think it through and make a wise decision ☀️❤️☀️
According to Google, generally speaking (there's always an exception to every rule) a horse is taller than 14.2 hands high, while a pony is shorter than 14.2 hands high. Ponies also tend to be stockier, and stronger than riding horses.😃
Sherri Northrup I think she does trim them herself. But most people don't have that skill and will need to pay to have it done. She is just telling us the expenses to own a horse.
cheap if you have a lot of horses who need hay/forage as well as grass, not if you have one horse/don't need to feed in summer, my horse costs me 20-40 in food for roughly 2 months, that's store bought food, if she wasn't growing and grass was good all year round I'd just give her hay and that'd be about 20 a month, maybe even nothing if the grass was still good, so tbh this isn't that cheap, also beware of "cheap alternatives" when it comes to the state of your horses stomach it is not worth fucking around with if your horse gets a bellyache you are (the horse rather) is fucked, can't throw up? gonna collic. Use your commen sense people.
I know, poor baby, but it is for his own good. It is very, very bad for donkeys and mules to be fat. It is much worse for them than for horses or pony's. Even though it is not good for anything to be over weight really ☀️❤️☀️
Becky's Homestead the hay is good!! But oats are a grain, way I remember it is they can only have grassey / hay substances. Certain bends make specialises donkey feeds it that helps. I’m sure he’d be fine on just the alfalfa cubes xx
Aneita Seyfried, Becky is in Florida. Feed and hay is expensive here. I know because we have 15 horses and a couple steers. I don’t want to say what we spend each month.
Maximilian Lopez hold up thier Maximilian JZ gots a question for your promptness What's up with being first on YT BEING THIRD or 5th leaves room to poke jokes at firsts and second firsties
Sneka charms ok I have a actual question been bothering me for months .. What's up with being first on YT BEING THIRD or 5th leaves room to poke jokes at firsts and second firsties
These videos are so happy and feel-good. I love it so much! ❤️
Hahahaha I'm so glad you like them☀️❤️☀️
Thank you!!! So many channels show what they feed, but none tell when they feed, how much they feed, etc… great video!
Becky, please do a video on bug control for your horses. Like how you keep them comfortable from pests. I'm in Minnesota and last summer our bugs were horrible. Doesn't help that I'm surrounded by woods. I just feel bad for the horses and it's a constant battle.
I have heard that a little vinegar in their feed repels most bugs! Funnilyeniugh, I heard it works for us humans too!!
Your bad at asking
Ur videos have improved so much and I'm addicted to ur channel. I'm only 14 and want to start a homestead when I'm older but little acerage costs millions of dollars where I live. Sad life...
You can find a little spot to Homestead, you will make it happen☀️❤️☀️
You can move to another area when you are ready.
Thanks guys💛
All your babies are adorable! 😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘😘
best video yet, all the different scenes and seeing you hold the camera selfie style is great. been following you for few years now. keep up the good work :)
Beautiful and healthy animals. I feed our older horses soaked alfalfa cubes plus senior feed. But it is amazing how a couple of handfuls turns into a bucket full. lol
I am so jealous of her with all her animals!! Would love to be her friend so I can come over and enjoy them as well.Sadly my house has a very small yard only for dog and some chickens. God Bless her for all the care and love she provides to her animals.👏🏼🙏🏼😍
You are precious! These babies are so blessed to have you 😗😗
Great video, thank you.
I love you soooooooo much when I'm older I want to build my own homestead and raise my own live stock and I watch your videos very day and I learn something new
Hahaha thank you, I'm so glad. Homesteads are awesome you will love yours when you get it one day☀️❤️☀️
Brilliant videos, cant wait for Sunday's,always so happy x
Love your videos you always tell it like it is and you don't leave anything out. Great info !
My Dad used to say, "no foot, no horse".
It is very true. I'm very picky about my horses feet. I like them perfect☀️❤️☀️
I've seen your hoof care videos and your horses feet are meticulously kept! Also, you have a nice, dry paddock for your horses and that is key to avoiding ailments, like thrush.
Thank you so much for this video, we were given 6 horses this spring, your information is very helpful,
That is a lot of horses to take in.
Kurtis
Hi Becky! I really appreciate your knowledge and fun presentation. May I ask how many acres you have for your farm? Thanks Paul
Great video! Gives me hope that I can afford a horse someday!
Love your videos! I smile the whole time while watching. You really know how to deliver great information. Hugs Becky❤️
Hahaha my goodness thank you so much. What a complement ☀️❤️☀️
My little mare is on pink powder (aids digestion) oestress (help with moodiness), calm and condition (for weight gain without fizziness) and molasses free chaff and good quality hay
And she’s an eventing pony
Great video! I love seeing your animals!!
What do you do to control flies in the pasture and around the animals? I'm curious especially since you go all natural and I know flies can be tough to get rid of without chemicals.
Aloha, love your farm:) what brand of crimped oats and rice bran do you use?:) any specific brand? Thankyou
Becky, how much DE do you add to their feed? How often do you use the DE to worm them?
Where I ride the horse had recently had a visit from the farrier. She would not lift her back left hoof to be cleaned before riding. The owner still let me ride her. I later got upset because I felt she must have been in pain. What do you think was wrong?
They are so beautiful. It's so expensive to feed with pasture for them to graze on.
I love your videos so much!
Wow, thanks so much ☀️❤️☀️
I love it Becky! Great job and love the videos!
Hi Becky. I love all of your videos. Thanks. Did you have a farm life growing up, or did you learn later in life?
I wanted a farm life growing up, then made it happen as soon as I could ☀️❤️☀️
All your animals are beautiful n healthy
I give mine alfalfa ant Timothy cubes (soaked) 2 get minerals with it but my seinor horse gets a low sugar seinor feed in the alfalfa with rice bran and no minerals, there's minerals in the feed. Yes, round rolls of hay are the cheapest way to feed hay, but some years rolls are gone by April or May and this is one of them. ☀️❤️☀️
Hi Becky where do you get your hay and what is the name of it
But how do u dried sylage qube didnot undrstnd, dos it company propitory product or small maufacturer produced, plz clarify at next video.. Thank u for nice presentatipn

Hi Becky,
I know this video is pretty old, but I am getting 2 horses soon, and was wondering how many times a day you feed your horses? Thank you so much! PS: I love your videos:)
Ok, stay tuned I will answer your question. I do one horse video a month☀️❤️☀️
@@BeckysHomestead Also be sure the alfalfa is not gmo alfalfa please.
Great video!! 😄 Quick question: Do you set out one bale of hay for each or one bale for all 3?
I through out a bale for all three. The trick is to have enough there for them to eat 24/7 without wasting any. ☀️❤️☀️
Becky, I don't see where to look or get the two items you mentioned for my animals. Dewormer and something else.
I am so glad we bumped into one of your videos a year ago. I have grown fawn of you. You are inspiring and even when your upset you take things well. Isn't there a link for the items in the description? Click it ☀️❤️☀️
Becky's Homestead I don't know where the description area is or I would. Oh, yeah what about the cows will it work on them too? Tia
Great information Becky!
Thanks
I have a half linger pony and a Morgan Arabian cross and the Morgan eats within like three seconds and the halflinger take twenty minutes
What a strong hard working woman I want to leave the city life and do this too but I'm not sure if I can it's expensive to attain this
HI Becky, I have a chicken question (actually 2) but don't know which video to attach it to, so here goes! Hahaha, you can throw in a mini for practically nothing to feed, but the hoof trim, worming, shots, and teeth float is the same as a large horse☀️❤️☀️
I'm kind of curious where you guys are getting hay for it to be $100 a month because for me to get just grass hay it's $5 for a small bail and can go up from there

Do you add the diatomaceous earth every day to their feed for de-worming or how do you use it for that?
Go to my web site Beckyshomestead.com then click on Horses. I made a video on how to worm with DE. ☀️❤️☀️
What do you spend for feeding supplies in your area such as hay etc you didn't go over cost of items

What kind of horse is thunder?
i used to feed my chinchilla with those alfalfa cubes
Wonderful video
Wonderful info!
Thanks ☀️❤️☀️
I have been useing food grade DE on all my animals for years and years. There are no "fumes". DE is a powder, so it is dusty. ☀️❤️☀️
i love watching these videos :)
"Thunder" is a beautiful specimen
Hi becky just wondering if it differs between a pony and horse
According to Google, generally speaking (there's always an exception to every rule) a horse is taller than 14.2 hands high, while a pony is shorter than 14.2 hands high. Ponies also tend to be stockier, and stronger than riding horses.😃
I miss the way your old videos music that was in the beginning of the video, it's like watching a different woman now.
Believe me, I'm the same woman☀️❤️☀️
Lincoln is so cute ❤️🐶
0:29 Thought you trimmed the hooves yourself?.......
I do, I'm talking about expenses other people need to spend above and beyond what feed cost. ☀️❤️☀️
Goodmorning!
Good Morning ☀️❤️☀️
Your videos are so good
Thank you so much, I'm glad you enjoy them ☀️❤️☀️
Cesar 911
Have a great week.. :")
100 a month each is a lot mine don't cost near that thank god
I rounded up and buy high quality everything. It balances out for me because I'm a farrier so don't have to pay for that. ☀️❤️☀️
Becky's Homestead I feed alfalfa and only grain my older horse and I have to trim myself because I live so far out no one will come out here
With hay it could round out to that, but my grain and oats are about 20-27 dollars for both.
My gram always fed her horse grain and hey.
how come the donkeys amount of food is sooooo small😯
I know, poor baby, but it is for his own good. It is very, very bad for donkeys and mules to be fat. It is much worse for them than for horses or pony's. Even though it is not good for anything to be over weight really ☀️❤️☀️
good info Thunder is a cutie
Are your horses pets only or do you ride?
Ride, drive, horse camp. I never get enough. ☀️❤️☀️ I also spend a lot of time training. Equines are always learning.
How much does the meat sell for?
Awww good mummy!😍
Can you do more soup vids
Donkeys should have grain free diets (just trying to be helpful) xx
Did you see what he got? 6 oats and a handful of soaked alfalfa and hay. That is "grain free". ☀️❤️☀️
Becky's Homestead the hay is good!! But oats are a grain, way I remember it is they can only have grassey / hay substances. Certain bends make specialises donkey feeds it that helps. I’m sure he’d be fine on just the alfalfa cubes xx
Thunder is pretty
Hello
Lol I don’t even have a horse but here I am.
💛Haffy love💛
Becky, I love you! but the music really takes away from your videos :x
Takes what away??
I was thinking at first that it took away from the quality, and made it a little buzzfeedish, but it's actually kind of nice when I rewatch.
Oh good, I'm glad you like it now. ☀️❤️☀️
100 dollars per horse for just food????? Holy cow, uhm horse. That's a LOT.
Saartje de Hond I know it costs me about £40 of $50
You are spending too much money a month on your horse, up in the Northwest its only a couple hundred a year.
Aneita Seyfried, Becky is in Florida. Feed and hay is expensive here. I know because we have 15 horses and a couple steers. I don’t want to say what we spend each month.
awful
You can’t feed any horse for under $100 you can only because you own small horses that you payed only like $600 dollars for
WHATTAHYPEBEAST LA yes you can in the uk for a lot of horses
Cool!
Thats a lot of money
Gives one hand full of food to donkey gives a whole bucket to mule “you need to feed them the right amount”
I feed my horses Purina because they are race horses so they need good grain and other horses eat Purina
1st one

Judy ZimShad I don't mind dr...I just simply commented ...n it makes me happy tht I'm a first fan from India and seeing the foreign videos😂😍😍😍
Omg $100 a month? I've got 4 on $10 a month
10? What can you get for 10 dollars that will last 4 horses a month. A good Pasture saves some money but in winter everyone needs hay☀️❤️☀️
So you don't have a horse
They are all "equine" and eat equine food and use equine tack. Don't waste your time splitting hairs in life, unless it really matters ☀️❤️☀️
Becky's Homestead I came here to see horses, not splices or similar species. Don't waste my time, woman :)
BullyMangler thunder is a horse. He's a Haflinger.
Sam McKenzie its a pony mix.
And they all look happy
BullyMangler he's not a mix. That's a pure Haflinger. Haflingers are small ponies around 13hh and have fluffy manes.
