I have nothing against hunting but didn't like the way that he could just switch from Buffalo to Croc because it was there. I love seeing large dominant males of any species and for some reason that just seemed like killing rather than hunting.
Perhaps you would like to spend a little time fishing in the river for a few weeks. You may experience a revelation in regard to what should and should not be hunted.
@@jk5335 Zero points awarded for virtue signaling. You really should look deep into your own soul. Perhaps we should let the locals decide if killing the monster croc was a good or bad thing and leave it there.
J k as many as possible , what good do they do? They are eating each other now in some areas because there is not enough food for them , def time they were culled
That was an amazing bit of luck, running across such a giant croc. Great shooting also. A beast like that is clearly the size to snatch anything from the river bank as it drinks. A person would offer no challenge either and I'd bet the locals were quite happy to see that one on the tree!
Those that do not live within 2,000 miles of either demand they be "saved". Of course none of their family or friends ever get eaten or mauled by a hippo or croc.
I've seen videos on PBS and other Nature programs where they spend months and even year's searching for certain giant crocs that hide themselves very cleverly. They just get a short glimpse of them for video and pics for their programs. I think it would be quite a challenge to hunt a world's record croc. We've done it with just about everything else.
WAS a great creature, how much of the meat do you eat? Sad that now no one else can see it. Ive hunted and I guess I enjoy the animals and want my kids to see them, obviously there are a number of reasons to remove and animal for safety and livelyhood, IDK just dont wanna lose the more rare monsters in the world. just my $0.02
As Mr. Smith said in reply to another comment, that croc had been harassing local fisherman. Assuming that is true, I can assure you that it is indeed a very big deal to the locals, as they can now fish to support themselves and their families with less risk. As far as the weapon, rifles are definitely easier, which is a good thing. The easier the gun is to use, the more likely you are to make an effective, humane shot. That croc did not suffer; he was killed very quickly and efficiently. Besides, I’m not even sure if shotguns are legal for hunting big game, such as crocs, even with heavy slugs, because they are likely not powerful enough to kill such an animal reliably. Unless you prefer wounded animals to dead ones, I would think twice before criticizing a clean kill for being “too easy.”
@@nmysights0185 Well it costs from $7000 to $20000 or more to hunt a croc, and you are not going to use a shotgun which would not penetrate. You use a rifle that will anchor the reptile to the bank where it can be recovered. If you let it get into the water it may not be recovered and you STILL HAVE TO PAY THE MONEY.

This guy is an assassin . I hope one day he found what he deserves .

I don't understand why he killed the croc.
we kill anything animal in africa
@nomenclature9607Yep, shoot up the shopping mall. You don't need a reason.
Eating, man
Comen, hombres.
Around 13 ft or so. Fairly large......but not a truly "big croc" by any means.
Are you just shooting for the sake of shooting or are they pests .???
I honestly support your efforts of culling the crocs. Its too many now!
Miles too many - epidemic status in parts of oz , would love to see them hunted to extinction like they nearly did 100 years back

@Peter Langbridge humans are useful - crocs aren’t
Yes, it was a big croc, but I've seen bigger alligators. Hardly a monster, but I still won't get in that water either.
Big but not a monster.
And those are called scutes on its back not scales.
Just curious: did you need a separate permit for the crocodile? Or you usually get a general permit for anything you come across?
Yman83464 I had a permit just in case we saw a big one. This one had been harassing local fisherman and they were glad to him leaving for USA!
I bossoli non li avete raccolti?spero di sì!saluti dalla Sardegna .
what had it eaten?
Very cool... any plans for the leather?
I see shoes, bags and purses in this crocs future... according to my Shelley!
The baseline in all this is what type or size do we allow to share with us.
Cool drone shots. Production is next level.
was that a 375 h rifle ??
Walking through the tall grass reminds me of jurassic Park
Did you eat some of it? If so what did it taste like, it didn’t look like chicken! Good shot btw
Yes we ate some and its very similar to Alligator [tough chewing chicken] but pretty strong as most all old animals are.
Not kosher
About 3.5 - 4 M?
What rifle did you use
375 HH Winchester
Nice croc.......... but only a little one by Australian standards.
Anthony Twidale yes too bad we can’t hunt them!
From WWE to darkest Africa, I didn't know Ric Flair was a hunter!
That is why he is called The Nature Boy.
What caliber double rifle was that? I know you like .375 for your stainless bolt gun.

If like he said what a great creature why kill it in the first place haha, but there we there are plenty more out there.
Drone is a great addition. - thanks
How big was the damn thing.
There are other living dinosaurs on the planet they just have not been discovered or categorized yet
You would Thank they would put a bounty on crocodiles and hippos. For the safety of the native and they other wild animals
Can't persecute an animal for being what it is they only do what nature intended for them to do
Cross and hippos are just as important to the ecosystem as any other animal.

Old twat held his rifle like some hero whilst the men just climbed in lol 😂
Perfect shooting as always. I like your vids very much. Wath kind of brand of bullets do u use and soft or Fmj nose?
Swift A Frames and Barnes TSX
Nice shooting...that thing's got a brain the size of a walnut, and you pretty much gotta hit the brain or sever the spinal cord to kill it so quick.

Killing a sleeping crocodile not a big deal. Please use shotguns, Rifles are too easy

Not possible, don't be ignorant.
CrazyTuco1 You’re gonna have to be a bit more specific. Exactly what part of what I said was impossible?
Shotguns aren't going to work on the thick skin of a crocodile!

J Alain Smith is very good hunter
I like the way this guy handles himself I remember him having a tv show need to get him on tv again he is not an infomercial hunter.
That'll make you a nice pair of boots.

Going for a buffalo and end up with a croc. Thats a good deal
