2006 Fresh Prince Jordan 5 Grape Restoration by Vick Almighty

- Vick Almighty restores these beat 2006 Air Jordan 5 Grapes aka the Fresh Prince shoes. Jordan Brand just rereleased the Gapes 5s a couple months ago with a Fresh Prince twist by not including laces. If you grew up in the 90’s chance are you watched Will Smith in Fresh Prince of Bel Air, always rocking a fresh pair of Jordans. Unlike this pair of Grape 5, which has seen better days, Will’s shoes were always crisp and usually laceless. Never fear Vick Almighty worked his magic to bring these shoes back to life. First, Vick gave these shoes a deep cleaning using Reshoevn8r 3-Brush Sneaker Laundry Kit, Brass Brush, and Sneaker Laundry Detergent. After giving the shoes a proper deep clean, Almighty unyellowed the outsole and re-glued some sole separation. Vick shared a nice nugget of info about working on older shoes, be careful when using acetone around foam because you may damage it. I came up on these 2013 pair of grape 5s for 160$ on eBay. Super clean and cold pair for being 8 years old. Just cleaned them up a bit. Insoles and outer parts and now they are ready to wear 🔥🔥 been a fan of these since fresh prince wore them back in the day

Great job, the netting was good before you painted it white, shoe was clean and fresh but had that vintage tinge to it. The yellow added character. Amazing transformation
That’s true but that white on the netting looks good too because I’m gonna restore the upper of my fire red 5’s 2020 edition and I was wondering what I was gonna do about the netting but after I seen how beautiful the white paint looks on them, so I guess I’m gonna paint my netting white thanks to Vic. And this my first restoration btw so I hope everything goes as planned and I get the results I want.

Vick, I cleaned some Jordan cherry today, and for the soles I used toothpaste and a all purpose brush. I got all of the yellowing off. And if you want to get more inside use a toothbrush. I swear it's super easy!!
