Thanks, it was cool checking this out with you. Lerdsila's gym practices a form of muay thai that you don't bring up your hands for defense unless you have to - then only for that exchange. He's also tremendous at launching his whole body into knee strikes. Going to watch more of these today

Yeah, Lerdsila Chumpairtour
is pretty incredible. There are muay thai fighters who are better overall counter fighters than him, but I don't think there's anyone has better pure defense than he does. His leanback from high kicks is ridiculous and even better than Petrosyan's. There are times when he's almost 90 degrees from the ground when leaning back, which seems physically impossible. It does seem like he's got that Pernell Whittaker, Floyd Mayweather gift of being able to combine a lifetime of experience with an supernatural instinct of predicting exactly how opponents will attack him.
His record is 190 wins, 32 losses. At one point, I think he went on a 100 fight win streak. It's a shame his offense isn't a little bit better because that could have made the difference between being a really good fighter and an all time great fighter. Still, he's spectacular to watch and he's taken the evolution of head movement and defense to an even higher level than guys like Samart Payakaroon
, Somrak Khamsing, and Saenchai did.
