I kinda wonder if movies like Virus and Event Horizon and Ghost Ship would have benefited from a release date today as opposed to the late 90s/early 2000s. I've seen this movie a couple times over the years and it's really not bad at all. Definitely didn't deserve the panning it received. There are some very creepy sequences and the makeup effects are fantastic. Acting is solid and Jamie Lee Curtis is of course wonderful. The budget was out of control even by 90s standards, but the movie is decent.

The Huminoids remind me of what an early (Terminator) Skynet take over should've been like as Skynet attempts to build its first Terminator T-001. This very easily could've been a Terminator/Skynet Awakening. If the whole story took place in space it could've been Star Trek: Borg Beginnings. I liked the film - worth watching just to see the interaction between the Huminoids and Humans. It could have very easily been a Universal Soldier gone bad movie. Two Thumbs Up on this one
