The 2014 Blue Bird is definitely a great bus. I drove one for two years when I had a route and I loved it. That bus will be a great church bus. As long as it’s well maintained, it could last forever. I do recommend not letting it sit unused very long as it can cause aftertreatment problems, which can be expensive.
I love the Blue Bird buses as well. Even though the Blue Birds at my school were built in 2018, and we have 4 of them, they all function very well, and I’d honestly like to ride in one over the traditional IC CE.
@@callistoridesGet it from a school district that you know for sure has taken care of it. Never buy anything with a MaxxForce 7 or DT. Make sure the bus runs well, it shifts properly, etc.
Hold up wait a minute dude the school bus is missing a mirror. Where did it mirror go whatever they did with it. It must’ve detached it from the bus and put it in her car and left the bus behind.
Great church bus. Cover “School” or paint over it and ditch red lights SC Highway Patrol can advise you. Funny laws about school busses. Your church is lucky to have you and Ivan.
What a Kool skool bus ! Fancy polished aluminum rear rims. Plush drivers seat as well as the kids seat. Air conditioning! And upper storage, never seem that in a school bus Maybe for backpacks that all the kids use today !
hey Mike and Ivan! fellow Christian from the UK here, I'd keep the paintwork as it is apart from just minor clean up. Instead put a poster with an encouraging scripture on the back for anyone driving behind. Bless you.
3 kids to a seat when I was driving those last year..so looks like the biggest you can get. We had seatbelts recently installed, and it was 3 per seat. Not all school districts..or bus manufacturers have seatbelts. Love the Bluebirds..
Absolutely let's see you turn the school bus into a church bus. God bless you fellas for doing this. A church is only as strong as its kids who need a good reliable bus. Baby blue with a white strip down the sides was our colors at our church at Kelham Ave Baptist church in okc.
Awesome job on finding the church agreat bus and pretty sure blue bird is definitely best built, put those mirrors on the fender it helps when you are cornering, way easier to see cars on your side👍
I used to live in Maryland (Frederick County), and they owned some 2014 Bluebirds similar to this one. I rode a few of them as spares and they ran nicely. I hope the church that got this bus likes it.
What you guys have is A Blue Bird Vision, it’s called that because of it great visibility from the slanted hood and bright headlights. Plus they look great
Finally, you feature a school bus. Vice President Kamala Harris even said “school buses are big and yellow, they can take kids to school to learn. School buses will someday be powered by solar energy,or tiny windmills, not nasty smelly air polluting fuel.”
What will they bring home next. Bus does look like it was worth thr price and I am sure you will have a quick turn around as they always seem in demand. Keep bussin.
Hi guys Congratulations nice school bus, glad you made it back to the shop safe, love your dog, waiting for the repairs and the finish product, stay safe
That looks like an ideal Church bus and probably the right size. I would do the repairs and paint it. Could you just buy a new bonnet/ hood? It would save you filling all those holes and save time. The extra storage is a good idea. I wouldn't mess with the inside too much it is not going to be lived in after all just to get you from A to B. Good luck with this project Michael.👍👍
@@TheRobman fair point, I just with the stress that it has opening and closing the cracks might open up again. Replace the whole thing and the problem is solved. 👍
Id replace the 2 spot mirrors that go on tge hood (thats what the holes are for) as those mirrors help with vehicles right next to you in your blind spot that you may not see!!! Its safer with those spot mirrors!!!
These are such fine buses to ride in. I got my CDL with it in 2021. Does it have the rear view camera? Oh.... and REMEMBER to stop for train tracks, other traffic will expect it. The cubby over your chair is where I kept the First Aid and log books. Check the codder pins often at the front.
The can get it declassified as a school bus and they won't have to stop at the tracks. But until then a cop wouldn't know if it's registered as a school bus or not.
Hi there I think a baby blue or even a metallic blue as a collour for the bus would make the bus stand out wherever you go but would keep the grill white or maybe change that to black I have an idea that the blue and the aluminum wheels will compliment the other and it the grill is chrome keep it just as is
That blue bird vision is loaded, air conditioning, air brakes, am fm stereo and pa system. And luggage racks along with an air door you got a good deal. Depending on the rear axle gear ratio plug into the computer and shut off the speed governer and see what shes got. Also check the refrigerant charge on the air conditioning also. You are missing the battey box door tho on the bus
Very nice Bluebird! Knowing these buses, the 5th digit of the VIN identifies the size. The biggest is an 84 passenger (N in the vin), down to 78 passenger (K) to a 72 passenger (G), which I see a lot of Visions are. Can’t wait to see more!
I seen you try to play off the fact that it wants in park when you tried to start it first😂. It helps to put it in park first key won't move it it's not.
Your going to also need driver side mirrors that go next to the driver side window, hood mirrors if you want them. The ones I'm use to have 60 gallon fuel tank, except the ones I drive are propane powered.
You are in my neck of the waterfront woods crossing the CBBT (where the Chesapeake Bay meets the Ocean) to Va. Beach from the Eastern Shore on your way back. However, I'm not in VB or Norfolk anymore, but Suffolk which is southwest of there. You may have gone through there to get to 95? Gotta finish the video to see I guess (unless that part is cut out). Not a bad buy for the great condition it's in. Seems like overkill for a church bus but not if used for summer camp stuff/vacation bible school where there's as many kids as school. But hey, if you are donating it, even better.
Right as the school year starts! Good find! Also, after I’d seen the bees above the drivers seat if I’d been the one to buy it, I would’ve ran out of there 🤣
I am watching from Elmira NY it looks pretty nice. In Wellsvurg NY close to the PA boarder in a little wooded area with a creek next to Bill Lewis sons house. Used to sit 3 antique farm tractors in need of restoration the guy sold 2 of them to collectors that are restoring them he got $1500.00 a piece for them. Now only one antique farm tractor is sitting there in need of restoration. I don't know who the owner is but it won't be that hard to locate him. It looks like it won't take much to get it running and restore it.
There are laws that saw at least in New York that it has to be about 90 % different color then chrome yellow ( school bus color ) . It can not look like a school bus , the destination sign .Some buses have higher head room and pa system, inside racks , rear air.Yours has some options that regular buses do not. We had a nice Thomas that had a lot of extras when i was a partner in a contract school bus company A t2000 use to be the one to have in a bus with no hood. Yes I would like to see what you all do with her !

im thinking of buying a small (short) school bus when i turn 18 for fun, got any ideas on what company?
I love the Blue Bird buses as well. Even though the Blue Birds at my school were built in 2018, and we have 4 of them, they all function very well, and I’d honestly like to ride in one over the traditional IC CE.
I like ICs

An great paint job that goes with church colors 🤔💯

Thanks friends for sharing the good purchase of the Blue Bus. 👍👍
Nice choice good bus
Restore it, it's nice. I'm impressed.
Michael: Ivan loves that fiberglass work! 😀😀
Let's see the work! Thanks guys for sharing!
Great buy for the church yes mod it and paint
Hi guys from Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 👍👍👍
I'd love to see you two repair it and add your unique touches to it. Great buy!!!
I see it started the first time after you put it in park. ;)
3 kids to a seat when I was driving those last year..so looks like the biggest you can get. We had seatbelts recently installed, and it was 3 per seat. Not all school districts..or bus manufacturers have seatbelts. Love the Bluebirds..
Yes please record the work being done.

thanks 4 the ride
It helps when you have put the shifter into park as I noticed it was in middle then in next clip it’s at top park and now bus starts lol😊
I noticed that too!
A great find, yea I want to see all what you do with it. I like the idea of the storage boxes on the underside woukd be a great addtion.
Awesome job on finding the church agreat bus and pretty sure blue bird is definitely best built, put those mirrors on the fender it helps when you are cornering, way easier to see cars on your side👍
Nice running rig
Definitely want to see you restore it! 😊❤❤❤❤❤
Nice bus..o hope they make bus party or homemade camping bus
Cummins motor , that's good. Maybe come up with a design that goes with your church somehow and do a wrap on it!
👍Гарний бус зробіть будинок на колесах.
Great video nice to see fixed up GOD BLESS
You should have used a little cup of gasoline held up under the nest - no extra cleaning required. But I suppose the spray did the job. 👏🏻👍🏻
Very good! Praise God! We like to see you are involved in church !
Definitely interested to see the renovation of this bus! Keep up the good work! Greetings from Milan, Italy!
Love to see the transformation
That is a beautiful ride .
digital, two-mini-fans!? Nikko Brothers coming-up on the world! 🎉

great video cool bus too!
I’d love to see it get restored. Buses are so cool
beuatiful video,s from you everytime
I'd do it like the Partridge Family bus but put your church name on the side instead.
Great buy!
You were trying to crack it in drive lol 😂

I would like to see you rebuild the bus, to bad your little friends couldn't come back with you...🐝

Really just make it pedal powered that would really save the planet .

The sports busses came with those racks.
Very good buy for your church . And I can not wait to see it done on your guys channel.

Chesapeake bay Bridge tunnel. Been over it several times as a kid. Pretty cool

At 07:40 coming into the underpass then out onto the Mobile, Alabama, causeway! Made that trip a lot of times.
I LOVE SCHOOL BUSES. The Thomas saf-t-liner C2 I rode for 9 years is numbered 594. ( pretty sure it's still in service)
Make it one of a kind, it's going to a good cause and I'm sure it will be put to good use......Nice one Niko Bros

Hey Niki what is the highway that goes miles and miles over water and then goes into a tunnel? Nice video, good bus for the church to do God's work..
That was Chesapeake Bay bridge tunnel. Highway 13..
You should go grab some aluminum wheels for the front to match the back. Any semi salvage yard should have them.
Black with ghost flames on the front. Would get alot of attention for a church buss.
Didddddd I really see you checking the oil while engine running 😂😂😂😂😂
Starts much better in Park....
Going across the bridge tunnel tomorrow, this will be the 3rd time in a few weeks.
Very nice deal on a great bus. 👍 I would love to see the repair and modification video on it.
Love to see it made unique. Maybe made into a motorhome
Would be a great project for an RV.
I would love to have one of the old one small one ❤
bring back the who has the better deal brother series please
Yes please show the repair on this!
Busssssssss Busssssss
You guys aren't boring😂
Can't wait to see it tricked out
Nice bus! They go for about $5000-$6000 used in New England (by Connecticut/mass line) when buying from a school bus company and not private sale
you need to bring that white jeep to the channel, and bring back that winnabego rv
