I have a black and gold cochlear implant nucleus 7 and it is a life changing experience such as I can talk on my home telephone and the audio is crystal clear I would recommend other people around the world should get a cochlear implant

My daughter has Nucleus 6. She's had it for 3 years and still has problems recognizing sounds and voices/words. How is the sound quality and clarity of N7 compared to the older N6? Is it a major improvement?

The avg age is 68. I cannot imagine the avg 68-yr old dealing with all the tech. If you are technophone, get a kid to help you through it. It is really overwhelming at 52 yrs old and having a computer degree in my back pocket. You WILL have tech problems...just get through them as best you can.

The music is the background makes it harder for someone who is hearing impaired to hear the people.

Background music is definitely a hindrance to hearing impared people who are already struggling to hear what is being said.

why use music as background when explaining about hearing loss, the most difficult things fir people with hearing loss is to separate speech from noice and music is the worse as it is full spectrum noise.so 90% of people with hearing loss will have problem hearing the voice over the background music. but when someone that does not have hearing loss is doing the editing of these videos they don't know.

My left Cochlear was installed April 15, 2019. No reason WHAT-SO-EVER to be scared. I remember being brought into the room and lots of people there. EVERY one of them said "bye" and then I was out. My next memory was on the way home. Wait 6 weeks and it was turned on. I cried nonstop since it was so life-changing!
