Gotta disagree all things come to an end thinking rockstar is any different is nothing short of EA thinking as a company that they are untouchable. Look at Activision as a reference or Squarenix.
You litterally REMINDED me of CoD. 💀 Jesus Christ the past few years were absolute shit for CoD, and is a perfect example of a seemingly untouchable company dying out basically overnight
Rockstar to me will always be one of the greediest companies in my eyes. Just look at the content on the online mode now. Look at what you gotta do to get 1 thing on that game whether it's a car, apartment or weapon. You gotta grind for a week straight it seems like for any high end thing and if you don't wanna spend so much time on that, you gotta buy shark cards. It's none sense. The game has been out for so long. I wish they'd just let people mod it at this point. Like a fallout game. Just mod it til your hearts content. Because I no longer care about leveling up, don't care about the vehicles or weapons or even new "apartments". And i put the air quotes because obviously a yacht, submarine, bunker, or what ever else isn't an apartment but you can just about use them as one if you wanted. The game is fun. I just don't like being forced into online with others whose soul purpose is to ruin your day. Wanna earn money? Can't. Why? Somebody killed you and stole your stuff or destroyed your stuff now all that grinding was for nothing. Its so annoying. Rockstar ruined the game for me when they stopped allowing you to do certain missions in a private lobby. That should have never changed.
Why are people still paying for it then? I've never even spent a penny on GTA Online and if everyone would've done that, we'd already get new standalone DLCs or even whole new games but instead people still keep tossing their money at rockstar so why should they even bother? I still love Rockstar because when they put out a new game, it's always a masterpiece and RDR2 is the best game ever in my opinion.
@@Grapefruit5000 I'm one of the people who was dumb enough to spend money on that game unfortunately. I wanted the Batmobile and didn't want to grind for it. I mostly just want to play without other online players and do the missions witbout being killed by them. I've played the game since December of 2013. And I'm still not good at the game. I've never tried to get better. I just play for fun. But the other players always kill me and it gets on my nerves. That's honestly my biggest complaint.
@@Grapefruit5000 Yes. That would be understandable in a single player mode. But online? You can't comepete with people when you're a new player and you're facing against other players who either played the game for years or payed money to get where their are.
Passion and dedication. Wasn't there something like an uproar to these horrible crunch conditions? That "single passionate" dev Team, is no more. I liked the more serious tone of GTA4, and i directly felt the lacking on a lot of details in the world in 5. The Multiplayer is so weirdly stitched together, it's horrible.
I agree. I don't like GTA 5 at all: it is too easy and handholding and doesn't feel like GTA, it is more like political diction than a gangsters game. I watched a let's play in 2013 and have never played it since and btw I got it for free on Epic and it doesn't matter. And speaking of multiplayer I mean I feel sorry for everyone playing this garbage filled with sharks and hackers. It is a gambling addiction at its finest. GTA 4 is a masterpiece and even RDR2 is better, it is handholding too but at least has other good mechanics. Old Rockstar is gone and let me correct the title: Why GTA will never die? One of the reasons is that GTA is the biggest game for casuals, and casuals are the biggest consumers (in any medium) I don’t get why people are always surprised to see GTA 5 topping the charts every year. Casuals eat it the hell up. video games are becoming the biggest form of entertainment, resulting in high increase in consumers every year I don’t use the word “casuals” in a condescending manner btw.

As long as there’s music, movies and tv shows, Grand Theft Auto will never die because that’s where they get all their ideas from. People want a legit GTA movie, I think that’s a dumb idea. Just watch any movie and it can be a GTA movie. Heat, Menace 2 Society, Scarface, Ryan Gosling’s Drive, etc.
815 million in 24 hours? I wonder how much they’re gonna do when they eventually release GTA6. They haven’t had to release 6 they been eating off 5 forever but when 6 comes it’s going to be huge

Wow I can't believe you praised GTA online so much but didn't even mention FiveM, literally the main reason this game is still relevant. All those RP servers, the likes of NoPixel, where literally dozens and dozens of the biggest gaming streamers come together to play, and their hundreds and hundreds of thousands of viewers, that's what kept GTA 5 trending to this day. Not the official GTA online. Who even plays that anymore?
I felt that way for a long time but nowadays I just have to disagree. GTA 4 was so much more detailed and everything felt more meaningful. For instance it had real side missions and handmade police missions. SA had these randomly generated side mission that were boring after the first one. Also from a technical standpoint 4 was just a huge leap and the world felt far more real than SA.
