not actually, i would say a cover is basically wharever you want, you play someone's music and choose the way you will do it, sometimes you don't even have the choice of what will sound like because of some limitation or something like that
One of the best Beatles songs. And the cool thing is that the shadow puppets' musical style definitely seems like it was strongly influenced by the Abbey Road era of the Beatles, so it's a nice nod to them.
Alex Turner and Miles Kane completely restore my faith in modern music :') they are more than qualified to cover such an amzing song. Holy shit. They should totally do a Beatles tribute album, no joke.
The newer covers of this song by them are so much better than this performance, they rushed it so much in this performance, especially the solo parts, plus they cut off like 3 minutes. It's also crazy how much miles has improved on vocals

Disagree, I think they’ve gotten better. Alex was really shy sounding when he sang here. You can tell they were enthusiastic about doing a Beatles cover and did a nice job but they definitely matured. In the later ones they laid it back and really leaned into the tension in the vocals.

Really good! No Umphrey's McGee but I'm impressed. I like the lead vocalist but the harmony is way off. I can't hear the best part of this song, the bass and the timing is rushed. I do appreciate the talent hear it's impressive but if you're going to cover this song, you have to get it right and UM definitely nails bit they are the only bamd that has come close so far that I'm aware of. Thosnis still a great effort but in dome places it's a total mess. Kudos to the live performance akd the bamd.
