Re-runs of this old show has been the highlight of my Saturday evenings for quite some time now. I remember these shows when they were first aired, and beat all the CRAP that ITV and BBC put on these days, in the name of Family Entertainmet Now, I have discovered that Challenge tv, has now pulled the plug on Saturday night screening's of this great show, along with Stars in Their Eyes. Maybe the Powers that be, just don't want todays viewers to see just what Good TV used to be.
***** No, I'm in full control of my mental faculties. Its just that I am old enough to remember when we had much better tv. OK so 321 may look a bit dated now, but it had entertainment value. Back then we had loads of sit-coms, and family variety shows. What have we got today? Just endless mind numbing reality shows like Big Brother. I'm glad to hear that ITV are planning a new series of Stars in their Eyes. In these austere times, we need some tv to lift our spirits. Not the endless crap that we have these days.
@@garydunn3037 Absolutely. 321 was bringing in audience viewing figures of 14 million on a Saturday night. I'd love them to bring it back with modern celebs doing the 'acts'.
Hi Gary I also have been watching all these episodes (one episode ) of 3-2-1 every single Saturday evening although i have dowloaded every episode from all 10 series that were uploaded by good old "gbgameshow" years ago and have all episodes and all series on an external hard drive drive plugged into my tv. I do no watch anything on Tv on Saturday evening's on the BBC or ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5 because i think modern tv it is total crap. All i do is watch old tv programmes every Saturday evening for the whole 12 months of the year except for when i'm away, I have been doing this for the past 5 years now solid I can not stand modern tv programmes for example to much reality tv. In my opinion there is no more family programmes on tv anymore for the entire family to come together and watch from Mum's Dads, Kids and Grandparents family life is now "splinted". Back in the day when programmes like the wonderful 3-2-1 was on ITV on Saturday evenings tv was geared to the whole family and it was wholesome. How i miss those days. I always watched 3-2-1 with my now late Mum and Dad from when it began in 1978 when i was 5 years old to when it ended in 1988 when i was 15 years old as a family we never missed an episode, my parents loved 3-2-1 then as i did as a kid and so did my late nan and auntie and i still love the programme now and always will. I just love old tv programmes from variety shows (like 3-2-1) to old BBC and ITV sitcoms from the 1970s and 1980s as well as old tv dramas and children's programmes.
@@philnewton-england7795 Hi Phil. I agree with you but the question is would it work in todays society, If 3-2-1 ever did get resurrected by ITV who could present it now as i don't think they would ever be as good as dear old late Ted Rogers was and would it be broadcast on Saturday evenings, after all ITV Saturday evenings always seem to dominated by the likes of Ant and Dec who i do not like (i can't stand either of them or any of there programmes). 3-2-1 was from golden era of tv that we will never see the likes of ever again. I dowloaded all episodes of 3-2-1 from "gbgameshows" last year for offline watching and have put them in series order of when they were originally broadcast i have all episodes of 3-2-1 on an external hard drive connected to my Tv, i watch each episode of 3-2-1 (only 1 episode) every Saturday evening as part of my regular viewing along with other old tv programmes from the 1960s, 1970s and 80s that i have on Dvd or downloaded I have been doing this solid for 5 years now (yeah i should get a life some people may say here on TH-cam) but that's me i'm a bit mad i suppose. The simple fact is i just love old tv programmes from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s along with films from these era's. Yes and Tv from the 1950s as well. My Saturday night viewing strand i call simply "Saturday Night Retro Tv Classics" from 6pm to 11pm.
@@garydunn3037 I'm the same as you Gary and totally agree, just like you i remember when we had much better tv then we do now and just think it was only from Three Channels, BBC 1, 2 and ITV until Channel 4 came along in 1982. We now have 100s of tv channels and various streaming services and it's totally crap in my opinion. I always say this "The quantity is there BUT NOT the quality". Take care and best wishes, Dean.
I loved Bob Carolgees and Spit The Dog back then and Spit was hilarious when he ducked and Bob called him a coward it was a brilliant trick when Spit caught the bullet. I loved the old ventriloquist acts from back in the 1970s and 80s you don't see them tv any more which is a shame.
awww loved 321 full on family entertainment stars you knew and loved , and someone in mensa may have problems with the clues , the big soft toy dusty bin was made by tebro toys uk , i had the version smaller without the bin facility and peterpan playthings had a dusty money box with changeable faces which i had too a later version had a pull string and talked i never got that one saturday night at the grandparents we sat all together and loved our 321 thank you sooo much
Notice how Ted isn't impressed with the first couple having a child out of wedlock. It's that common these days nobody would turn a hair. Oh the good old days of standards, eh.
Ted was playing it for laughs. I'm glad nobody turns a hair now, since it's nobody's business, and it's cruel to try shaming people, especially the child. If you love your kids, I don't care if you're married or not. (And I was married years before my children were born.)
Unlike gameshows hosts now who keep talking. Back here and other gameshows of same time presenters would ask briefly about you have a bit of laughter then get on with it
I loved the show still do x
Me too x

The runners up are my grandparents 😂😂
I remember these the first time round. I remember Spit catching the bullet in his mouth. I once saw a couple win the bin. This couple came close.

Einstein would have had trouble trying work those clues out.

How the hell would you get a bin from that clue? Stephen Hawking couldn't work these clues.
Especially the first one for the car, there's no way it made sense.
