personally I think 23000 yen is a lot for the 40cm figures considering they're not new designs, they're just slightly improved versions of previous designs?
Plus the normal popupparades are really hit or miss qualitywise... When they do the XL versions and want the typical 1/4 scale price for them, the quality should *definately* be consistantly good (material, sculpting, painting, quality control) and have better bases.

At that price point and size you might as well just call them scales and invest in them scale level quality

I might actually get the Kazuma Pop Up Parade. Partly for the memes, but it's also refreshing to see a manufacturer not locked into just doing the female characters. And this also gives me hope for more figures of MC that have been overlooked (Looking at you Sora from No Game No Life and Issei Hyoudou from High School DxD).

I did not know about it, I am so excited it looks lovely!! 😭😭😭💕💕 OshiRabu is a Yuri Visual Novel!! It's about a gacha loving girl (MC, black hair) who confesses her love to her 2D husbando when she pulls him in game but the other girl (Love Interest, blond hair) who had helped pull for her (because she has insane luck) mistakes the confession to being for her- and so she takes it to heart and accepts, but once it's explained that it's a misunderstanding she decides to woo the MC for real! The game is very colorful as well so it's really cool to see they translated that into the figure. ☺ Atelier Sophie isn't a spin-off game by the way! It actually came out before Ryza- as a part of the "Mysterious Trilogy" of games. (There's a deluxe pack version with all three games, similar to a couple of the other previous Atelier trilogies "Dusk" and "Arland.") Sophie is getting a sequel just like Ryza soon too! There /are/ spin-off games to the Atelier series but Sophie is considered mainline. So basically, there's a lot of Atelier games. XD Oh, and Princess Connect is a gacha game! But it has an anime too~.

You know, re: GSC's FMA fig, I absolutely love the return of dynamic figures on basically diorama type bases, really integrating the base into the figure as a while... while I lament the increasing costs, I also hated how plain and neglected bases have become (at best, some nice deco and text, and at worst plain and only there to hold the fig up). Whether I'm homeless in 12-24 months for buying the even more expensive fancy based figures, we shall see... >.>

So inan effort to make better purchase decisions I started trying to learn from folks w/ more experience and came upon your channel. Your charisma, personality and accent come through so strongly in your videos I could probably watch yuou read the phone book and be entertained (I also really like the videos you do with your 2 friends, im sorry o dont remember their names, but they each bring a different viewpoint and thats a great move on your sid) OK enough with the fanboy, I do have a question: Do you have any videos about Scale SAO figures? I appreciate you focus on your personal tastes and not just 'value' so it may not be in your wheelhouse. Personally i think the 'love story' from the 1st 3 series is great, and have enjoyed the suthors additional work. But if you have some please point me to them,, I did a search and found several sao scale vids just none by you. Thanks J
Hololive figures are seriously putting a dent in my piggy bank. GSC keeps churning them out (I love it!) and their prices keep going up (I don't love it...). Not to mention that GSC Global Store doesn't offer combined shipping for a large number of these. I am starting to wonder where this rabbit hole will lead me if this keeps up...
