When laying the stone on the road, we used thick concrete (more on this in previous videos • Дорога из камней - 6. ... . Now the distances between the stones in the masonry are filled with a liquid solution, to the maximum height of the stones.
So, filling the road is filling with a liquid solution gaps between the stones.
The liquid solution flows into all the gaps between the stones, repeating the contour of each stone, enveloping it from all sides. As the mortar displaces the air from the masonry, each stone “sticks” to the bottom concrete and the roughing screed. Thus, the most stable position of the stone monolith is ensured.
The composition of our solution for pouring the road:
50 kg of cement M500;
8 buckets of 18-20 liters of seeded screenings (sand);
water consistency.
We prepare the solution according to a certain technology so that it becomes homogeneous and elastic:
1. First, mix the ingredients with a small amount of water. In this case, all the lumps that are in the solution, are well triturated.
2. When the thick solution is ready, add water to it and mix to a liquid state.
The kneading of such a solution requires a lot of time. And we are accelerating, filtering ready-made mortar flowing from a concrete mixer through a sieve.
The perfect consistency of the finished solution is “liquid honey.” That is, the solution should flow freely from the watering can. However, if the solution is too liquid (closer to the consistency of water), then when it dries it shrinks strongly and leaves large gaps, even holes, in the masonry. Therefore, the solution should be moderately liquid, so that when drying it does not subside. If the mortar is too thick, air blockages form in the masonry, which reduce the strength of the road ...
When pouring the solution should always be fresh. In order not to stagnate, it is necessary to constantly stir.
How to dry the solution faster?
In the summer or when the sun is strong, the solution dries quickly, we clean and finish the road.
And what to do if there is no sun, damp or cold season?
a) Pour the solution in one day and clean it up the next day - but this is on condition that the master has a lot of time to work. It should be borne in mind that, the more the solution hardens, the harder and slower it is to clean.
b) We suggest you take advantage of the quick way of drying “Stone Success”! To do this, heat the sand over the fire and fill it with a hot hot svezhezalituyu road. There are two advantages: it dries quickly because the hot sand absorbs water from the slurry, and the stones in the masonry remain clean.
c) When the mortar dries well, seal the masonry with a sponge. In this case, it is necessary that the solution does not leave stains on the stones.
I do not recommend washing the high pressure washing on the same day, because the soft solution will be leached out, but the small rubble will remain. As a result, most of the masonry can “float”.
