      Hey stevie! He did a video on the mix for his own plugin. Unfortunately this song is not in his vst. So sad cause I love it!
      Btw the tracks and di come with the vst. But honestly I just like this one the ones included, not so much. I bought Kristian Kohle's high gain tones course and those tracks are really brutal. Highly recommended 🤟🤟🤟

    One thing they really need to fix is to gain match the IR's from the cabs, the volume difference between cab 1 & 3 is massive, the 3rd cab is actually peaking out in the red, hard to judge what sounds better when there's a such a huge difference between cab volumes. It would probably screw up existing mixes if they just patched the volumes to be equal, so adding the option to adjust the gain of each IR independently would be a great solution in a future update. But the plugin does sound awesome and very happy with it apart from that.

    • @adalbertusignatius4967
      @adalbertusignatius4967 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can decide which one sounds better when you adjust the volume by yourself and save it as two different patches. Or use your own IR files

    • @LukeGibsonSS
      @LukeGibsonSS 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@adalbertusignatius4967 Why should the user have to fix the plugins bad gain staging issues? Even if it only takes 10 minutes setting up volume corrected patches, that soon starts to add up in to a lot of wasted hours. It's a problem they could fix so easily just by swapping out the IR files with volume matched ones I could probably do it myself if the preset IR's aren't hard encoded into the software. But again why should I have to? SLT HB is more expensive and has less features than most of its competition, so when I've paid $100+ I have some expectation that basic shit proper gain staging is taken care of, without me having to employ some hacky workaround LMAO

    Hell yeah!! Got my pre-sale download today and I am very impressed. Awesome job guys!! If you are at even a 30% chance of buying this suite, do it now. You will save $40 bucks and get it up to 48 hours before the release to the public. The STL will cover a great rhythm tone, awesome lead tone, and awesome clean. Pair it with the other best metal tone plug-in and you can make some awesome noise.

  • @LukeGibsonSS
    @LukeGibsonSS 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    The thing that I'm not really liking with the SLT is the EQs on the front of the amp hardly do anything on the high gain amps 1 & 2, feels like a -/+ 3db at most, I can turn the Bass & Mid all the way off and the Treble & Presence all the way up and on a lot of external IR's and it still sounds to muddy, which is really unhelpful. I have to ask though your DI tone sounds great, you say there's no extra processing on it, but it looks really compressed and uniform, is that simply down to the active pickups?

    Might be a dumb question Andy, but why use the Kemper and the interface for the DI? Why not just go straight in to the interface?

    • @kebbinator
      @kebbinator 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Guitars and guitar amps expect a high-z impedance signal, while an interface expects a low-z impedance signal.
      Plugging a guitar direct into an interface without a DI box (to convert impedance) will cause the signal to not react the way a guitar amp would.
      The Kemper accepts a high-z impedance signal but outputs a low-z impedance signal, effectively working like a very expensive DI box.

      I'd like to know also. I'm having trouble with most of the plugins since they go only down to drop A and my band tunes to Ab-drop.
      BTW the bass seems to be just a little bit too loud for my liking.

  • @constantinosmavroyannis9409
    @constantinosmavroyannis9409 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    did you record 2 tracks and send them to a stereo group/bus and THERE you insert the vst only once in the fx tray? doesnt it sound different than if you add the vst to each track's fx tray? isnt this the proper method?

    Does the plugin (and the trial version) work with Cakewalk by Bandlab? Got my Trial today and as soon as i scanned the VST folder the DAW crashed. I'd love to get the full version but i'm scared now that it's not supported in Cakewalk. An answer would be highly appreciated.

    Great review but can someone explain me how you use one plugin for two guitartrack busses. As an example i use 2 mono tracks with each of the same plugin but i want to use one instance for the two mono tracks, i know and read that you have to use an fx channel or group channel track to set the vst amp and route them but the only effect i had is that i hear the dry sound of my guitar with the sound of the amp, i have the mono tracks pannend but it sound like a mess. What i'm doing wrong. Another method i did recently was export the 2 mono tracks to a stereo file, i put them back in the project, putted one amp sim and it worked but it had not the full same sound with the 2 instances of vst with the 2 mono tracks. O yeah i use cubase.

    • @adalbertusignatius4967
      @adalbertusignatius4967 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No in cubase for example it should work like that: you pan the 2 mono tracks where the di's are and they go to a (stereo!) group channel where you activate the plugin and set it to stereo. This group channel has to go then to stereo out.

    Hola, maestro y amigo Andy, la verdad, yo te prefiero como maestro de guitarra y no de software, porque para ser musicos tenemos que hacer cursos de edicion de audio y video?, yo solo quiero tocar, y nada mejor que usar el poco tioempo que tengo en expresar mi alma, que en estos tiempos esta bastante convulsionada, la creatividad es lo importante, mas alla del sonido, lo que llega al alma es lo que sale del alma...y eso no te lo da ningun software...te seguimos viendo capo.
