It's certianly not, nope, but as you say, it's reflective of the general poor taste people have! This is musicianship of the highest standard, thankyou Jan for sharing, Bireli is highly inspirational!
Yes. Joe Pass and Paco de Lucia are my biggest influences but I'm always looking to improve, and Bireli has greater improvisational depth than pretty much everybody in my opinion. I think "dazzling" is the nearest thing to describe it, a true virtuoso. I think if there was one (living player) I could have as a teacher it would be Bireli! There is a remarkable lackof transcriptions available for Bireli I've noticed, though there is one book which is really quite expensive! I'll have to try slowing down a few of his with Transcribe! and work out a lot of what he is playing but I'm sure even at 33% pace it's still tough haha! I'm currently working on Joe Pass's Here's That Rainy Day though!
bon sang , il est en transe...magnifique !
C’était magique!
mooi gedaan Jan, In het begin stukje sta je vlak naast me . . .
+Menno J.H. van der Reijden Ook toevallig! We gaan dit jaar weer, het is al weer acht jaar geleden. We zullen 23/6 aankomen in Samois.
Menno J.H. van der Reijden dus misschien heb je ook een video-opname?
Just 924 views!! I listen to Bireli nearly every day now. For me he is now the golden benchmark for fine guitar playing!
Hay James. Not much in 3 months, is it? But remember: the worse the movie is, the more views! Thanks for your reaction!

Indeed he is! I presume you play the guitar yourself?
