Formé en 1961 par Jerry Hansen, Ramblers International Band ou Ramblers Dance Band a contribué à populariser le versant dance band du highlife dans les années 1960/ Jerry Hansen s'est ensuite imposé avec "Uhuru Dance Band" comme une des formations phares de l'époque. Ce groupe est représentatif du courant "dance-band.
