@spuds940 Really well how many do you have so & how much are mechanics that you know getting.You have no numbers son you dont know.I have a mechanic for €350 p/w & he's glad of it because a main dealer let him go.Have you got mechanic or are you one.How do you know all this.
@spuds940 Any Scania I had didnt have curtains I done groupage to NL with a daycab 93 280 scania tractor unit. Dont talk to me about ruining the job.I built a house & have 8 LHD toplines & I was up & down the road for €300 when your mammy was wiping your runny little nose.We didnt have tachos we never stopped.Ask any economist we pay too much for wages.I can get a mechanic for €350 a week & he is a skilled worker & officially your not.So why would I pay an unskilled worker more.
@MrDaisey2 Its not about glory.You can either do job or you cant.I see lads like doing int. work thinking they could go to Europe on a monday & be home on friday.You cant do the job your not cut for it.I bet if you would do int. work you would expect a new truck a telefone & a CB.When I started I had a 112 scania no telefone & if the truck broke you fixed it.The likes of you get new trucks a TV & call scania, I have a puncture.You think lads have it bad @ €550 some euro drivers get $300 a month
Also drivers will work €50 a day yet in Ireland.its coming.Do you think the Irish drivers are the best in the world to say that they are to be paid more than anyone.At the moment @ €550 Irish drivers are paid more than most euopean drivers.I hope your job will last.
@spuds940 I dont know thats not my problem once Im ok thats all that worries me.You think €350 for an agri contractor is ok you obviously didnt do much of that either.I think my friend you need to go back to school especially economics & reading.
@spuds940 Really you didnt listen to the news today when the government said they were putting the min wage back up & figures have been realeased stating that wages in the rep of Ireland are 30% higher than in the north.Now you think your badly paid.50 cent a mile a haulier on domestic work doesnt get that.€350+ mechanic U must get your truck repaired in Dublin airport.I dont deal in rubbish like you driving a bin lorry.Oh also I dont let no.plates spotlites airhorns cbs or flags so thats u out.
