Congratulations India...We in the USA admire your pioneering spirit and scientific innovation and passion...Our astronauts and yours will shake hands on the moon one day...Best regards...
Very impressive achievement. When I grew up in India in the 50's and 60's and dreamed of this, I was afraid to talk about it because society in general was still not ready for it. We should forge ahead in this arena not just as a nation, but co-operatively with other countries of the world - Finally, let us use this surge of confidence, innovation and industry to provide clean air and water to the billions of youngsters in the impoverished sectors so they can grow up healthy and join the future.
hi there,, I am from pakistan,,, But I am proud of India about this mission.. You deserve that. The clip of Indian flag on Moon is so emotional for me. I wish and pray for them to come back Safely. Ameen.
If it is a private initiative then I should say mindblowing!!! This type initiative should have taken by the government of India. But Indian government does not know how to project India's cvapability in science & technology - inside and outside India. I think last comment is 200% true. "Our ppl are busy seeing bollywood videos" :( Last of all we shu not give up hope...
brilliant. . .truly this is not only a 1st step for India but a giant leap for the whole of mankind. . .If all nations participate with this much passion , Star Trek wont just be for our television screens. . .LOL CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulation to India on successfully lunching the first ever lunar unmanned mission. I hope, India will done again in 2015 with greater success. With love, Malaysian Indian
This video vividly portrays that INDIA is second to none and Indian scientists are at par with the global standards.let this video kindle and instill the notion India is the best i whole heatedly solute our scientists for making all of us proud JAI HIND!!!
Makes me proud of my country. India may seem poor in the eyes of the world but it is the emerging world leader in all fields. Its the land of the rising sun.
Wow, I really hope we are able to achieve these aims.. I grew up reading about the American and Soviet space programmes, lets hope the next generation of Indians grow up learning about our own space programme.. GO INDIA..!!!
Really really good video at the same time so humbeling. I am really proud of Indian scientists, they deserve all the credit. We have proved to the world in last five years what we are capable of and in the near future I am sure that India will do only better. Cheers.
hey Dev.. I heartily appreciate ur contribution for India..u did a grt and excellent work..the music, the animation and everything was perfect...We feel proud of u and ur contribution..grt work and keep it up.. keep moving..proud to b an Indian..Jai Hind..
Hey, that's great news! We should form some kind of dedicated Indian space discussion forum to follow this stuff, since there seems to be plenty coming up on the agenda! I read that ISRO chief Nair said that RLV will start testing within 2 years. RLV could radically lower the cost of space access.
In INDIA we have a great potential and oppurtinity to become masters in space. I pray god, that, corruptions and greed of people may not destroy our aim and ability. China and Pakistan are two main enemies that will try to hinder our ability. We must not give up. Good Luck INDIA. JAI HIND
This mission may nothing to us now, But our grandchildren and their grandchildren who would have then settled on the moon would see this video and smile, Remembering it as a great moment for India :)
Awesome animation but the one thing that you have mistaken in it is that ISRO's chairman Madhawan Nair said that India is planning to send a man to moon on 2015 and not 2020(as it was said before).
guys and gals this is it lets show india is a real big deal in this world and we willmake history......this is point of no return lets go for it pray for success....GOD SPEED CHANDRAYAN 1......jhor se kaho ***BHARAT MATA KI JAI***
Hi Syed, I'm proud of you! Dont take this as an offense but at this time of communal tensions SIMI, kashmir issue and all that, I feel so happy that there are still good people around, who are genuinely proud of the country. Lets be brothers and take India forward!!
good clip, but there are lots of works to do,the 1st to make several test launchs, the 2nd to put one man or more into space, the 3rd to perform activities out of craft, the 4th to make two crafts or more interlink togeter,if all missions have one time success, there are also other works to do,such as super power engines, larger rockets, outer spacesuits, moon lander, more massive control system and other more.
Man What an Achievement by India with such manpower especially the Budget other countries must have been jawdropped...kudos but looking at the different prospects Indians must also look different opportunity in Space like the Voyager 1 and 2 of the Late 70s still going strong even after 25 yrs ...What an Achievement..... Could Some possibly Do that
This is really something we have to figure out, because it's going to have to become the common word that everyone uses, even internationally, to refer to Indian astronauts. One Sanskrit word for Star is Tara. Taranaut? The Sanskrit word for Sun is Surya. Suryanaut? Journey/Voyage is Yatra. Yatranaut? World/universe can be Jaga or Vishva. Vishwanaut? Jaganaut is pronouncable, but it's too similar to the sanskrit-derived word Juggernaut, which in english means a powerful destructive force/object
Your video is definitely an example of this. I saw parts of it shown on CNN-IBN, as well as on a Chinese channel, while browsing TH-cam. I, for one, would definitely like to see more such quality productions. Perhaps something specifically on GSLVmk3(even mk4?), AvatarRLV, mining Helium3, or an Indian mission to Mars. Or what about the thorium energy program? I used to be in Mississauga too, btw, but I'm in Etobicoke now.
Dev, ISRO might not have been sure at the time what the MIP was showing. Once M3's results came out, it was much easier to interpret the existing data to confirm what M3 showed most clearly. Likewise, NASA has now reinterpreted data taken from Cassini years ago to show it had also observed water on the Moon.
Absolutely... there are many direct and indirect applications and benefits that will be derived from the technologies that ISRO is researching, developing and proving through it's space missions. This is what happened with several NASA technologies developed especially in 1960s / 70s. Not to mention the vast potential for astronomy and scientific knowledge to be gained by the 2 year Chandrayaan-1 mission.
Great Job! Congratulations! We from Brazil expect that our group (Brazil, Russia, India and China - BRIC) conquest the moon soon! And India are starting this important job! Great work!
Great job India! I had no idea they had also sent a probe to our Moon. I love it. This makes 5 countries that have sent stuff to the Moon now. GO INDIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing man, India is surely coming out of its shell and might rule the space industry with good technology at lower cost. We might see smaller countries outsourcing their mission to piggyback on Indian space missions so all the countries in the world can benefit just like India is providing cheaper medicines to African nations against the wishes of big pharma who would rather people die and suffer than provide cheaper medicines. Way to go India!!!
If one can clearly visualize and see a Vision or Goal in ones Mind's Eye... then the rest (the necessary actions and execution to see them to realization) will follow easily. Animations are a "powerful tool" help us visualize our visions and goals!
when ill be old and my grand children will ask me about stars ill tel them the success story of more then 450 satellites and chandrayaan I and II im lucky became the witness of Indian space research program's success thanx to ISRO and thanx to all those Honest indians we will make world a better place
When the animation was produced in Summer 2007 our research at that time indicated that ISRO was targeting a manned lunar landing around 2020. However more recent news reports have indicated Madhavan Nair as saying ISRO would target a manned lunar landing by 2015.
Hi Dev, I think India should try to deploy a balloon on Mars, to aerially survey for water, nitrogen, methane, etc. Balloon technology is cheap to research, and could even have useful applications here on Earth (telecom "stratellites", aerostats, etc). The US does a lot of balloon experiments in Antarctica, and India also has a base there, which could be useful. A platform floating in the upper atmosphere could be used to train astronauts for long endurance exposure to "near space" conditions.
Dev, we should really look at forming a dedicated online Indian space community. We could have a portal based around a discussion forum, and also find ways to show our support for ISRO in its future endeavours. It could become a dedicated repository for space news particularly relevant to India. Additionally, there could be discussions on the future of Indian spaceflight, future direction of Indian space policy, and even technical discussions involving science and engineering issues.
From then onwards the mission will take about 2 years to complete, which will include detailed 3D topographical mapping of the lunar surface including analysis of mineral contents, elemental analysis and radioactive nuclides on the moon. Chandrayaan will also launch a Moon Impact Probe as part of its 11 to 12 measurement instruments it will be carrying. Chandrayaan will also specifically search for the presence of water and Helium 3 on the moon.
The animation is fantastic work, we are planned to land on moon in 2020, but in the time other countries will land on mars. We should overtake everyone, we must reject all the resons says that we cant, and we can accept any one which says We can.
@gsrikar Yes you are right.. but most of our books were stored in Nalanda Vishwavidyala which was burnt down by invaders.. those books held the knowledge of various technologies even Nuclear Weapons(Brahmaastra). We would have been 100 times better than any other country only we had Nalanda!
Indeed MR.Craig, but only 4 nations have been able to station the flag of their nation successfully on the Moon: USA, Soviet Union, Japan and INDIA! GO INDIA!!!
I believe the credit should rightly go to all those involved in this discovery.... NASA, ISRO and ESA!!! Which is truly an amazing example of an international space collaboration / venture / team!
i am very happy with the success of the chandrayaan but wish the animation and presentation is of better quality... and i hope ISRO can improve their website too, its the status of the country, when a small company can afford a better looking and interactive website, why the top organisation is in a basic and uninterested website look....better think abt it..
WOW that was a wonderful video with a grand vision for India. So well done I got goosebumps--and when the first manned mission was standing on the moon's surface saluting the flag--I had tears in my eyes! You have shown not only the science but the emotional side of space travel for us all. It isn't that we can fly into space--it's that we humans, from whatever country we are from, whatever culture we grow up in--are passionate explorers and we must explore. Good luck in space India.
Hi Raghav, Glad you liked our Chandrayaan Animation. No... unfortunately I don't work for ISRO like yourself. My Heartfelt Congratulations and Best Wishes to you and the whole ISRO team for the "real" Chandrayaan mission, which is an inspiration and sense of pride and achievement to all Indian.
have u seen the footage of cctv cameras in the nigts. it is always b/w. cctv footage by infrared cams are cant be in colour, because of absence of light, which helps to create the colours. same technology is applied over here.
Wow what a video....so inspiring....superb!!! Thanks!!! Jai hind!!1

the peaceful re-emergence of bharat is wonderful, I am looking forward to the next 40yrs and hope to help build it.
Very impressive achievement. When I grew up in India in the 50's and 60's and dreamed of this, I was afraid to talk about it because society in general was still not ready for it.
