Poppin' C is a real raw popping dancer, no crowd pleasing, no show and waiting for the beat killing, just raw popping at it's purest form. Bro is a beast, and right now at the top of the game, period.

@@ililiilili3366 MT pop does a lot of styles and he has a lot of moves, his musicality is good too... Depends who's the judge, a bad judge will always be biased and choose boogaloo/popping dancer. Best to let them battle in an open style format when you can do other style besides popping because then it will be judged more fairly rather than being biased toward popping/boogaloo. If MT pop is doing really good tutting and smoking the other guy a bad judge could just argue "he's not popping though" and then I hate that politics. Can't make those excuses in open style format
Poppin C had the complete package here. I'm glad new and innovative poppers are shifting things, popping as a whole has gotten boring and stale to watch, it's the same moves and the same rounds over and over for the most part. I'm glad poppers like Slim Boogie, MT Pop, Creesto, Hoan, and Poppin C (to name a few) are changing the scene.
I’ll say this, I’m not a Poppin C fan but what I respect about him is the effort and work he puts into each battle whenever he battles. Name a battle he’s not bringing his all.

Best popping event of the year. You dont need a large crowd. You need enough young talent, enough legends, a good DJ and friendly exchanges. Im sure next year more legends will return and first time this event because is thaat good. Respect legends from all over the world for taking a plane here. Popping C deserved it his rounds were sharp. I've never been Hoans biggest supporter, but he's undoubtedly one of the greatest and when he's on he can kill anybody. This looked almost bizarre to me with how off he seemed here. It doesn't even look like the same guy at points. Congrats to C.
Hoan is getting on in age a bit I think. Nearly in his 40's now, given that he started dancing when he was 14 in 2002. Plus, when you've been doing it for that long, it loses its magic after a while. I've only been popping for 9-10 years in a more serious manner, took breaks in between, and I'm already a bit tired of it. Dancing comes from the heart, but the heart is not an unlimited resource. You need to revitalise yourself constantly, and at some point, it's gonna feel mundane like everything once you've put your 15k hours into it. Hoan was a great champion, almost unbeatable in his prime, but it's past his time now. Not even really because of age, but because of what I explained From what I can tell, Poppin C is like five years younger than Hoan and also has about 6-7 years less experience than him. Plus he only just started winning competitions, so the hunger is still there. But like Hoan, I think he'll peak in the next 3 years and start getting worse from that point

If I had to guess I would think his priority this year was the 3vs3. His teammates were from his crew, Xclown from Vietnam, so that's more symbolic. Also, I believe he was either sick or hurt last year as well.

They just don’t have fans for no reason) . It doesn’t matter how many fans someone has if someone is better then they are better. It’s an excuse people can make to make bias judgment. Hoan is battling outside of his country and against a hometown dancer. If you take away the home court bias and the “fan base” then off skill Hoan was better. Older poppers are just stuck in they ways and don’t like to push a dancer who is elevating an older style.
Hoan is different than before. I thought about winning the 2022 Feel the Funk with a new style and going with a cool groove-centered style, but it seems like it's been changing again recently. The problem is that the style in this video is all over the place, and it's the worst. Pop is getting less and less, and it's really going with an open style.

Hoan is battling outside of his country and against a hometown dancer. If you take away the home court bias and the “fan base” then off skill Hoan was better. Older poppers are just stuck in they ways and don’t like to push a dancer who is elevating an older style.

Hoan is different than before. I thought about winning the 2022 Feel the Funk with a new style and going with a cool groove-centered style, but it seems like it's been changing again recently. The problem is that the style in this video is all over the place, and it's the worst. Pop is getting less and less, and it's really going with an open style.
I disagree. Hoan still presented a performance with a lot of groove in 2024, such as the battles he had at GrandStreet 2024 and also in these ones here:

@@crown6710 What I'm talking about is the latest. Look at Dance Vision, The Real Time Korea. It's probably personal, but the groove in this video was the worst performance ever.

In general, I find Hoan's eccentric groove interesting. I find it strange when he dances without his characteristic enthusiasm, as is the case in this final here against Poppin C, where I only liked his first round.
